TMH Physician Partners, Services by Southern Medical Group - Cardiology

I had a great experience at TMH Partners today, The wait to check in was minimal, the attendant was very efficient and friendly. The wait to be called back was slightly longer, but still not more than 10 minutes. The nurse who took my vitals and ran an EKG was very nice and extremely efficient. Dr, Gredler explained everything to my satisfaction (something I hadn't been getting) and set out a plan to explore my problem further, not rushing in to medication or surgery til we got more information. I felt like I'd been heard and my anxieties relieved. Highly recommend!

Dr. Del Carpio Tenorio was wonderful, he spent extended time discussing options for care and genuinely seemed to care about his patient's long term wellbeing. The entire process to get records and scheduling done at SMG however, make having a HEART ATTACK seem to be the PREFERABLE OPTION. SMG does not return calls to patients, they do not respond to other doctors request for records, and they seem to have given up on updating their communication system in the late 90's. There is no online way to communicate with them and scheduling for most testing is several months out at the earliest. This would be a great medical office to have your needs taken care of, if and when they join the rest of the world in the 21st century, and start communicating properly.

I fail to understand their business plan to make appointments. They are there all day. I try to call when I have free time. I frequently can't take calls at any time. I've missed multiple call backs trying to schedule an appointment.

Cardio appt rescheduled at last minute due to doctor being out of the office, delayed by over a month. Staff at the check-in desk were unfriendly. Overall unpleasant experience, would not recommend if you have any other option.

My appointment was canceled as I drove over an hour and I explained this to the lady at the front desk. I walked in the office at 831 thinking all this time that I had an appointment at 830 no to mention I drove over an hour for the appointment that was supposed to be for an echo of my heart in which I have already been waiting for over a month because due to the office staffing schedule the appointment was delayed and pushed back to this day and I took Saturday appointment in order to get this appointment. I cant have s medical procedure done until I get clearance from this test and I also have been having more issues which I planned on explaining when I had the appointment. This office staff today proved that in no way were they concerned about the patient needs. I pleaded with the staff and told them I drove an hour, the urgency of the test, unemployed no income and simply getting gas to waste like this wasnt something I can afford. Not only am I shocked at such unprofessional approach but honestly the position in which they approached me, its amazing how they stress to me how high of a risk that i am for a heart attack thus constantly being on my case about the importance of wearing the life vest at all times due to the risk but the staff can clearly set you off and put you in a position of being upset and rage simply due to how lazy staff have become in positions such as customer patient service. This is not my last stop to try and get a better staffing situation in cases such as mine. I read several reviews on here not all of them but they seem relatively similar to mine. Very poor uncaring staff. The doctors staff behind the scene and doctors are good however the line of front office staff are rude, waste of salary and does not have the interest of the patient in mind.
