I wanted to take a moment to respond to your review, as these are definitely important to our business.Our driver arrived with your load of 57 limestone and was immediately greeted with behavior we would not classify as "polite". You requested to see the material before it was dropped. Our driver obliged and allowed you to climb the truck and take a sample. A man then climbed the truck and took a look at it as well. Our driver waited for you to wash the stone under a spicket on the side of the trailer home to see its appearance after it was washed. Our driver was then instructed to dump it. If you didn't want it, then why did you ask him to dump it? All you had to do was refuse the load, and we would have happily refunded your money and sent the load to the next customer. Instead, you grudgingly accepted the load, all the while mumbling under your breath and upset, only to follow up with a spiteful and unfounded review.As for our communication...suffice to say, we exchanged exactly 49 messages regarding your delivery. You then met with my wife in person prior to the delivery where, during discussion, your use of the 57 rock for driveway material came up. 57 Limestone is a generally accepted solution for driveway and clay road surface. We deliver countless loads to countless satisfied customers. After the fact, it comes to light you needed something more gray than natural color. Based on your motivation to leave such a spiteful review, we ascertain the color of the stone was a 'critical' aspect to your purchase. For this reason, you should have asked. You requested 57 rock and we ascertained it was for a driveway. We brought you 57 limestone as an industry accepted solution. You obviously knew what you needed. You could have asked for 57 rock that was gray, and we would have made a suitable recommendation that met your requirement. Subsequently, we spoke on the phone regarding your delivery, and unfortunately, there isn't anything we could do. The stone was offered at a greatly discounted price (a price we were honoring from months prior when you inquired in November but prices increased Jan 1), so we couldn't discount it anymore. Sending the truck back and a machine/operator to load the truck back up was unreasonable and unrealistic.As for the skill of our driver that day, he is experienced and knows what he's doing. He stated the trailer park had tight quarters and a lot of soft sand loosely placed gravel around. There wasn't sufficient room to perform an effective rolling dump. The driver that brought your load to you that day is polite, professional, skilled, and in this particular case, very patient.You took the time to write a review and spoke up publicly about how you didn’t get what you ‘needed’ when you did receive exactly what you asked for. It’s more important to speak up beforehand then after the fact. You could have easily spoken to the driver and refused the load rather than grudgingly accept the load and then speak up publicly on a google review after the fact.Thank you for your review. We go out of our way to operate our business honestly and respectfully. We take reviews seriously and use them as a tool to improve when we can.
