        A surprise charge of $50 for a small pet. No charge last year and no notice on website or booking. After paying in full days in advance I arrived to find this outragious charge that you have no recourse but to pay them or lose your room and all payments. Red Roof Inn and Motel6 (often better quality) charge nothing and welcome pets. Never again to the deception/trickery at Pennwood. Noteworthy details: Surprise charges

        I'll start out by saying, the place has real potential..it's pretty run down , but for the most part, clean..pool is kept nice (but it was closed)...this is our 2nd time here and nothing has really changed since our last visit 3 years ago...If you stay in room #32, the bed by the window is kind of like a hammock, really saggy..and don't try to make those packets of coffee provided in the coffee maker...pretty bad.. Over all worth what you pay, I suppose...
