Pink Pelican Florist

The most lush, gorgeous flower bouquet I have ever received! And, it looked great for 2 weeks! Im going over there today to thank them and order a centerpiece for my neighbors dinner party. The work speaks for itself and that pretty much says it all!

They did the most amazing job! Jill was so helpful and was such a pleasure to work with. I would absolutely recommend them for any floral needs.

Note the date of this review.  Very different from what I would have said last time I did business with them or the 20 times before that!   Very Sad!  I used to go to Pink Pelican every time I sent flowers to my parents in Vero.  We have been loyal customers with nothing but good experiences.  But this week my mom was in the hospital and my sister called to have flowers delivered to her.  The place had an old card on file for her so she gave the Pink Pelican her new card number (this was after they told her they were "slammed" (random week day) and would try as best the could to get something out by Thursday.   My sister had some ideas that she was musing about - like maybe some twigs and some bright colors/fragrances and the lady said "we don't have sticks and we are really slammed but what is your budget - I can do something for 100 dollars.  My sister said that budget wasn't an issue, it was more about getting something nice out to mom as fast as possible.  So...... on FRIDAY afternoon my sister was walking her dog and the lady (this was supposed to be delivered Friday morning) said that the credit card was declined.  So my sister said she would call and double check the numbers when she got home from walking her dog.  When she got home she called and THE PINK PELICAN LADY  had messed up two numbers in the card.  Then she said that since this happened she can't deliver it until Monday.  My mom was getting out of the hospital on Thursday and she can't deliver because she screwed up the card number.  When my sister said "please please any way to get it there sooner, my whole family has been working with you for years and we have a great relationship with you" she said (BRACE YOURSELF FOR THIS....)  "Relationship??  Your family is always asking for a better price!  Your sister always calls and tries to get a better deal."  Okay first of all that is anything but true. We (we are fortunate and grateful) are not in a place where we would be deterred by a price-point.   Second of all - you just told my sister that I am a bad customer who demands better prices.  If I was smart I WOULD demand better prices but I never had and now she has recklessly trashed my reputation with my family.  We are an extended family down in Vero who have always gone to Pink Pelican for our floral needs but we will be going to Hutchinson's florist from here on out.  Cannot believe she would have the gall to call me out to a family member as someone who was a bad customer because I constantly asked for better prices which is such BS but also stupid because I was a really great customer.  I feel burned.
