What a terrible school for children with special needs. My son was in dual enrollment in the DVT program. He began at the start of the school year, August 2023. I was in contact with his teacher, Ed Fagan through email and Suzanne McLauchlin- ESE liason through email and phone throughout the 1st quarter. On December 5, 2023, we met over zoom with his teacher, Ed Fagan, Suzanne McLauchlin- Ese Liason, Darby Larkin-Assistive Director and David Culver (He was new to the school. I am not sure of his title) on regarding concerns about his IEP (Individual Education Plan) being met and why the fundamentals of the program were not taught before beginning actual projects, they smirked at us and showed absolutely no concern or interest in even getting a game plan to help my son succeed. They even actually blamed my son. Im in such shock that people, especially educators can be so cruel. I wish I would have contacted the teacher before having my son apply there to make sure this was a good fit. My advice for anyone and especially those who have or know someone with an IEP is to check and make sure the class and educator will be a good fit.
