Dan & Jill run a great shop -- the Soto Opticians shop on Hillview Street , near Morton's and the Sarasota hospital. They offer a wonderful array of glasses -- particularly Silhouettes, which I love. Also, they provide great service when I need a repair. A word of warning. They can be busy -- so, if I am going into their shop, I usually call ahead and let them know that I am coming.

I stopped in to buy a new pair of sunglasses and in under10 minutes Jennifer fixed my old ones. They are so much better than new! She knew exactly how to make them work for me. She saved me hundreds and earned my total respect for beyond friendly service, knowledge and understanding. I just found my new optical shop. Thank you

I've been getting presciption glasses and sunglasses from Soto for six years, and have always loved the service this team at Soto provides. But over the last few days, these folks have gone above and beyond to rescue me. I dropped my glasses into the Intercoastal Waterway only three business days before leaving on a 14 day trip to Europe. They miraculously ordered top of the line, progressive lenses from their lab in New York, fitted me with new, stylish frames and had me ready to go 6 hours before I needed to head to the airport. Businesses like this are rare in today's retail world. Good luck getting this kind of service from a big box store or on-line retailer.

We were on vacation and my husband broke the arm on his expensive Silhouette glasses. I called Jill at Soto and explained our situation and she was extremely accommodating, she said we close in an hour stop by and she would take a look. We met Jill in the parking lot and within 10 minutes she was able to replace the arm and would not accept any payment! We were truly blessed by this angel and so appreciative that she was able to see us right away and make the repair. THANK YOU !
