    Had golf cart towed for repairs $55 to go 1.4 miles- got a call saying solenoid was bad - had them replace it - then told minor other issues (leak in tire- etc) total was $715 - got cart home used it 2 days and it is not moving at all- dead ( its not batteries theyre new) called them back and was told pay another tow and we will see whats going on - .. didnt we just do this was told something else may be wrong - didnt you just check it out? and solenoid is only under warranty 60 days???? what did I pay $715 for? Got the cart back in the same condition I sent it I could tell if I wasnt buying my business wasnt important !

    We have a very disappointing experience with Golf Coast Golf Cars, Inc. 1770 N. Washington Blvd. (Hwy. 301), north Sarasota. On August 31,2023 we contracted with them to rent a golf car for January and February to be used in Tri Par Estates Mobile Home Park, a 55 and older community. Unfortunately, we were not informed by them that we needed to specify lights and mirrors were necessary. We assumed these were standard on their golf cars. Golf Coast Golf Cars, Inc. knew the golf car was being delivered to a mobile home park but failed to ask us if we needed lights and mirrors. After delivery we called and were gruffly told we rented a golf cart and they do not have lights and mirrors. Now their name is Golf Coast Golf CARS, Inc. This company is neither helpful or courteous to their customers. To our disappointment, we had also given friends in the park the name of Golf Coast Golf Cars, Inc. They experienced the exact same disappointing situation when they called and questioned why there were no lights or mirrors. The companys lack of customer service puts a great inconvenience on those who rent their golf cars to be used in mobile home parks. We will certainly be telling everyone in our 800 unit park about the unfortunate experience with Golf Coast Golf Cars, Inc. 1770 N. Washington Blvd. (Hwy. 301), north Sarasota.

Hi Maryanne. We are very sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your golf cart. When you originally asked us to look at your cart, you were experiencing an intermittent running issue, as well as lack of power. Upon checking your year-old batteries, we found excessive corrosion on the battery cables and hold downs (with 3 hold downs being completely broken), along with low cells across all batteries. However, your batteries passed all load testing and were deemed acceptable. Upon further diagnostics, it was determined that your solenoid was the issue, as it was not activating and unable to pass voltage through to the power components of your cart. Upon using a test solenoid, your cart ran. With your approval, we replaced the solenoid and cleaned your battery cables. Upon multiple test drives, we experienced no issues with your cart. We did note that you had a leaking left front tire, and we also recommended a General Service, which you declined. Your cart left our facility in running condition with no intermittent issues. When you called us to tell us you were having "the same issues", we offered to pick up the cart and bring it back to our shop. It was explained to you that if the issues your experiencing were in relation to the repairs, or were caused by the repairs, we would correct the issue for you at no additional cost. However, if the issue was unrelated to our repairs, then normal charges would apply. This is our standard procedure for all of our customers. You were treated no differently. You paid $715 for our services, which included pick up/delivery, diagnostics, parts and labor and we delivered a working cart back to you. There are multiple components to a running golf cart and just because one issue is repaired, it doesn't mean other issues won't occur. We stand behind our work and we're happy to address your current issues under the same conditions we've already offered you. Every customer is important to us!

Hi Vickie,We appreciate your feedback regarding your recent rental experience with us. We certainly apologize for any inconvenience caused by the absence of lights and mirrors. When the reservation was initially made, there was no mention of any special request for lights or mirrors. Had we been informed you needed them, we’ve would have certainly tried to accommodate your needs based on our available rental inventory at the time. Your assumption that all of our rental cars come equipped with those items as standard equipment is not our fault. If our business name caused you any confusion, perhaps this will help: The American National Standards Institute classifies golf carts as “golf cars” because they are self-propelled. Technically, to be considered a “golf cart”, a vehicle must be pushed or pulled by a person, animal, or motorized vehicle. Please understand that our rental carts are diverse, serving various customers in different locations, and it not within our purview to be aware of specific regulations at every destination. We’ve rented to other customers in your location who have not required lights or windshields with no issues. We did offer to swap your rental for a different vehicle when one becomes available, extending the same offer to your friends. Unfortunately, due to high demand during season, our current rental fleet is committed to long-term renters, limiting our immediate availability.Again, we apologize for any inconvenience the golf car you’ve rented and are still using may have caused. It is never our intention to leave our customers disappointed and we will continue to monitor our fleet for an early turn-in or upcoming cancellation, that would allow us to exchange your vehicle. In the meantime, we hope you stay safe and find enjoyment in the rental.
