Had a terrible experience with this school, several families have left after only a year, expressing their disappointment.  In my opinion its a cold disconnected uncaring environment. Everything is done last minute, they couldn't even get the yearbook printed and to the children before school ended and thats just one of many examples.In my opinion, the administration, head of school, director of education and admissions office are unprofessional.  They get offended if you raise concerns with staff or curriculum. There are better options in my opinion and encourage families to look elsewhere.

Terrific preschool. Great COVID safety procedures. We moved here from NYC during COVID and learned about CDS through WOM and online. The curriculum is fantastic, the teachers and staff are experienced and dedicated, and the facilities are great. We especially love the Reggio Emilia curriculum for the little ones (our son is 3) that has lots of play-based learning. We love the outdoor areas: the garden, the chickens, playgrounds, big green space, race track, bikes, etc. This school is providing a top level quality education that is challenging but fun. It rivals many of the top preschools programs in NYC. After just one month, my son's confidence has blossomed and he has gotten out of his shell. Highly recommend.

The worst school in sarasota.  They feed parents with a bunch of bull saying the curriculum is rigid.  Far from it.  Little discipline because they want the kids happy so they can get your money the next year.  a big waste of money as you can definitely get better education elsewhere for free.

If you are looking for a school that keeps your child safe from bullies this is not the one for you. Our first year with CDS we had the most amazing teachers but our second year has staff changes that resulted in protecting a known bully in the classroom. Our child came home repeatedly with injuries including a head wound caused by her teacher that required us to rush her to the doctor. The lack of care, empathy, and concern that upper administration showed us speaks volumes as of what type of school this really is. This review was taken down from their Fb page. I had included a photo of our daughters dress covered in blood.

If you are considering this school for its Jewish education, look somewhere else. During its existence it has taken every step to move away from its Jewish origins. It disassociated itself from the synagogue that started it, it removed the word Jewish from Jewish community School, it does not offer religious education, has a student body that's more than 50% non-Jewish. It has a church on campus but not a synagogue or temple. And the administrator actually said Judaism is not our schools guiding post. If you're looking for your child to maintain and develop their Jewish identity this is not a good school, however if you're looking for your Jewish child to completely assimilate, acculturate, and lose any sense of Jewish uniqueness and solidarity, then you will love this place.
