Salt Springs Recreation Area

The spring was so beautiful, and the property was very well kept, including campsites and rest rooms. The check-in process was smooth but could have been a bit more welcoming. Felt a bit like a lecture about all the rules. With that being said, all the maintenance staff and camp hosts were very friendly. We also liked the pet friendliness and the beauty around us. Would recommend.

This place has the potential of being a wonderful place but the experience is destroyed by the absolutely horrible staff. Don't even consider camping here. The primitive campsite host is a major jerk. His name is Dan and I suggest you avoid him at all cost. Anyway this entire staff needs to be fired and replaced with some civil human beings. Which is exactly what the government is planning to do. They're shutting the place down in December and my guess is it's because of the incredibly rude and mean spirited staff. It's a crying shame because the spring is really beautiful.
