This is a one of a kind art installation. I'd encourage everyone to check it out. Magical way to spend the afternoon.

Fantastic exhibit, horrible employees. I love these type of museums. I legit travel across the country to visit them. I've been to all 3 Meow Wolf in the midwest and also otherworld in Ohio. I was extremely excited to find out we had this less than 45 mins away from my home in Tampa. Well...I will say the exhibit was great. Yes it is smaller, but so is the price. It's a lot less crowds as well. If you take your time to understand the story you can easily fit in a few hours. It also is connected to a few free museums. That is where my praise ends. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE OMG. They are the worst. I hate paying any company who can't respect a customers time. Or in my case even acknowledge me standing in front of you so I can redeem my ticket. I'm sorry that my presence is less important than you scrolling on tiktok watching the same old tired content that you view while on the toilet. A greeting would be nice the next time I approach the desk. Or is that outdated in 2024? I'm only giving 2 stars because the artists did a phenomenal job and once I got past the guy and girl at the front desk I thoroughly enjoyed my time. With that said, I can't recommend going to a place like this. Especially if you take into the consideration of others complaints of it being to easy to zoom through. That's not an issue to me but it may be an issue to you. Customer service sure won't help you understand what these places are about.

If I can give this "immersive experience" zero stars....I would. I went here with my teenage nieces and we were all pretty disappointed. You can walk through the entire space within 15 minutes and it smelled a bit like a wet dog (maybe that's part of the mermaid/water theme). The pictures look cool online, but I would compare this to a movie trailer that shows all the good parts...until you watch the entire film and you're left with total disappointment and regret. The tickets are also expensive for the installations displayed. This is pretty much just a dollar store version of "Meow Wolf," a company that has large-scale interactive and immersive art installations located in Vegas, Santa Fe, and Denver. Meow Wolf is 1000x better than this poor excuse for an "immersive experience." I understand the pieces are created by local artists but overall, it feels too hand-made and cheap. The mermaid theme feels very random and disconnected. I'm shocked that Fairgrounds has such good reviews, but perhaps I've visited other well executed art installations, so I have greater exceptions for wow factor.
