update : STILL calling and no answer !!!! Have been trying to make an appointment for 3 weeks. Out going message is in a loop no way to leave a message. Get it together you guys - this isn't a good look for a seemingly professional practice. The other OBGYN's in the same practice calls ring -ring ring and when finally someone picks up - they straight "hang up on you", are they over-worked that they can't follow basic human decency - pay more or get better front desk staff personal.

The office staff is great, but Dr. Hargrove left a bad impression with me. During my appointment, I brought up a concern and was brushed off. I ultimately changed over to another dr with the same group and when I called to discuss a concerning medical condition while still under her care until the new dr could be established, I was told that I could discuss it with my new dr at that appointment in three months.

After having a hysterectomy in October 2020 with Dr. Indermaur (also with Womens Care practice), I was sent away with a prescription for synthetic estrogen and told to follow up with any hormonal problems that may arise with another specialist in the practice. I went on to experience what I have now learned is called a hormone storm and dealt with severe anxiety and depression which was made worse by the hormone pellet injection that was recommended by Dr. Hargrove and other docs in the practice. While the hormone injections work well for many women, it was the opposite for me. Dr. Hargroves office refused to accept that my worsening issues could be caused by the hormone injections and I luckily found the Docs Outside the Box practice next. After testing my hormone levels they were shocked to find that I had not been given any progesterone and that my testosterone levels and estrogen levels were off the charts. They explained that they had seen many patients like me who dealt with adverse effects from the pellet injections and after they balanced my hormones with bioidentical hormone replacement daily losenges, I felt like myself again and felt great. I wish that considering my history, that the doctors in this practice had been more considerate and caring with my post hysterectomy struggles. I do feel very lucky to have found my new doctors who completely understood my situation and knew how to heal me.

Dr. Hargrove was completely rude to my sister. She has endometriosis and for months on end has had trouble with her kidney. We had continuously taken her to multiple doctors and hospitals just to be told they dont know whats wrong. We believed all of this to be caused by her endometriosis and scar tissue on her organs. All other things have been ruled out by other doctors. This past week, she was bending over crying in pain and vomiting non-stop. Not sure what to do, we took her to the hospital where they told us she had a bowel obstruction, fluid in her cervix and cysts in her ovaries. The hospital told us to take her to the gynecologist for further steps. They informed us to have the gynecologist look for scar tissue because they were not able to. When my sister arrived at the gynecologist- the doctor saw her for a total of 12 minutes. She repeatedly told her that her bowel obstruction, fluid and cysts she had were normal. Mind you, bowel obstructions can be life threatening. As well as that, fluid in the cervix can be normal- however, the fact that the hospital took note of the fluid in her cervix suggests that it was not a regular amount of fluid and that there was something causing this abnormality. Additionally, cysts on ovaries are common, but saying they are normal suggests they are something everyone has, and that the pain she was feeling from them was something that everyone experienced. She also went on to say that she had no scar tissue and the hospital did not know what they were talking about. Although, she did NOT check for scar tissue and her issues directly correlate with scar tissue from endometriosis. I am aware of this because my mom went to the hospital for the same issue where the scar tissue from endometriosis wrapped around her small intestine and caused a bowel obstruction. (Keep in mind, she also has been having problems with her kidney where everything else has been ruled out except for scar tissue). She also acted like it was outlandish for us to even think it was caused by the scar tissue, when we were told by doctors at the hospital that was the only thing it could be. She was very condescending and dismissive of my sisters pain and concerns. She was essentially told she had nothing wrong with her, although there very clearly is. Throwing up and sobbing from pain is NOT normal. Even if the issue wasnt related to endometriosis she should not have been told the things she has been experiencing are normal. It made her feel like her pain was not valid. My sister was defeated after her appointment and the doctor even pushed her to the point of tears. She was crying after her appointment because she was so frustrated. I am not sorry to say my sister and I will not be seeing her anymore. UPDATE: After seeing a new OBGYN (Dr.Reyes on central, he is great I recommend him!) she got a laparoscopy to find that she had polyps in her uterus. A hysteroscopy was performed to take them out. Polyps can cause pain, heavy bleeding, and trouble with urination. The only likely cause for the polyps is her hormone levels- as well as that, polyps are most common in those above age 40 or those who are post menopausal. Considering my sister is only 18 years old, there is obviously something not right here. Polyps can also be of concern, because unlike fibroids- they are more likely to be cancerous or turn cancerous if left untreated (especially when painful). Considering as such, most OBGYNs will recommend to have them removed when experiencing severe symptoms due to the probability of uterine cancer. We will hear results this Friday and hopefully they are not cancerous, in which case my sister at only the age of 18 may have to have her uterus removed. So although not caused by endometriosis, a very serious diagnosis.
