Sacino's Cleaners

My business was unwanted. I've been using tailors for 15+ years in several states, and I've never had an experience like this one. When I walked in, the large blond woman asked how she could help me. I said I was there for alterations. "What do you need?" she asks, frowning. Well... It's been a while since I used a tailor shop, and maybe it's just this area, but I don't remember ever a "gatekeeper" ever asking me what *type* of alterations I need before I can see the actual tailor. Things only got more awkward and unfortunate from there. I mentioned a few things, after which she finally stops frowning at me and says she'll call the tailor up. Felt like she wanted to make sure my needs were "legitimate." It seemed both women literally did the least for me while there. Most answers offered to my questions were decidedly unhelpful, until I either pressed or obviously gave up. I had to ask pricing for every single item AT LEAST twice. These were very basic things: button replacement, seam repair, darts. They were so secretive about them, I started suspecting they were inflated -- just for me. But the straw that broke the camel's back was at checkout. I've never been asked to pay for an alteration before leaving any tailor shop, no matter how many or how few items I had. At Sacino's, she found it necessary to charge me beforehand to repair... a single pair of leggings. A few minutes later, once I got my bearings and the experience settled, I turn the car around, went back in and cancelled the order. She didn't ask any questions (probably assumed I "couldn't afford it" or something, by her attitude). Can I mention she was MORE cheery and emphatic when thanking me for cancelling the order than after the initial order itself? Went 1/2 a block down to Looking Good Fashions, where the owner and employee were both courteous, normal, and welcoming enough. I'd recommend any other brown people do the same -- or at least avoid this Sacino's Cleaners. At least post a sign or something, so African Americans know they're unwelcome. Smh. Two stars (not one, solely because they weren't blatantly rude).

Great quality work and the best customer service! They go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. I love the communication that they give you. I highly recommend.
