Ooof..where to start? So, we went for trivia night. We showed up almost an hour early so that we could order, converse, and eat before the game started. The place is pretty cool, as far as decor and the outdoor space. Parking is a pain in the *ss, because your left trolling Central for a spot, and there's no actual parking lot or row of dedicated spaces. So..the thing is, none of us drink, so I'm going to base this review solely on service and the food. The QR code ordering system is an absolute NIGHTMARE. I "get" that since the inception of covid, businesses needed to adopt new ways to conduct business, but this is just a garbage system. Please, Grand Central, do yourself a favor and use a different app/system! Almost every step of it was flawed. Deeply. We also couldn't flag down a server for waters, questions/help, or even get anyone to acknowledge us. The ordering system/app itself just isn't exactly "user friendly", and each of the 4 of us struggled through the process and reading the menu/finding what we wanted. -And when the food FINALLY came, our order was wrong. (it took WAY too long, for the type if food we're talking about!...cold appetizer plates, a burger, bruscetta, and fried chicken fingers) Our cheese plate came out with meat on it. (for a vegetarian) Even that uncooked/raw appetizer cheese board took an absolutely ridiculous amount of time. (like 45+mins) My chicken fingers had ZERO seasoning on them..not salt, not pepper, nothing. No herbs, no spices. Had to ask for the sauce that was supposed to come with them. (homemade ranch) My friend said the burger he ordered was dry/overcooked, and left a weird taste in his mouth. Other friend was totally unimpressed with the Bruscetta. I understand that this is a "brewhouse"/bar, but...if you're going to charge the prices you're charging for food, not deliver it in a reasonable amount of time, AND not have great service, I just can't give you a good review. -and that sucks, because I wanted this place to be as bad*ss as it looked. I hope management reads this and makes whatever necessary changes for them to be successful. (I worked in restaurants for 15+yrs, and we're not talking about fine dining either, so my standards really weren't unreasonable)
