        They Place 7 day holds on payroll checks that clear for them in 2 days or less. Its a trap to get you to overdraft so they can hit you with fees while they have your payroll on hold to the side that they themselves arent releasing but got funded. Shame on South State. Not a real friendly Bank!

        I have been using this bank for 5 years + and they keep changing hours at the 2 branches I go to. I work from 7am to 5pm and the bank closes way before that and then the drive through closes at 5pm. How am I supposed to be able to use the bank like this? Not to mention there ATMs hardly ever work. The working people that have Normal jobs can't got to the bank anymore I guess.

        Greeted at the door by a lovely staff member, nothing but a pleasant experience from there on. Joanne was super wonderful, kept the conversation going while she set up my new account. When I came back to finish everything, I was told to make it easy on me to go through the drive thru and was even greeted Welcome back. Very happy to put my money in a bank who cares about my future investment and future goals of banking. Thank you CenterState Staff.
