Dis hotel suck! I'm deaf mahself no closed caption on TV and no hot spa or swimming pool! Never again! I'd file complaint against them for discrimination ! Hopefully I d get my money back!
Safety: Safe due to video camera!

Okay, here we go. We stayed at the Sunset Inn in St. Augustine for a night back in Feb. of 2024. When we first got our room, there was no remote for the TV and we couldn't turn it on, the mini-fridge was unplugged and on the floor, there was coffee and cups but no coffee maker, the ice machine on-site was broken, and the bathroom needed to be cleaned (to say the least).
The staff was polite tried to be helpful and the owner came and got the TV working and the bathroom cleaned, but the shower was atrocious. A photo of the handicapped use shower in our room is being provided with this review. To his credit, the owner apologized and told us that he had just bought the motel and that he had a lot of work to do.
When in St. Augustine we normally stay somewhere else (closer to the historic district), but it was booked full and we did not realize that the race in Daytona was going on and everything else around us for miles was sold out so we just dealt with it. On the plus side, there was no bugs.
Oh well, you live and learn. Happy travels, everybody.
Rooms: The shower was a real mess.

Very rude front desk person, screaming from the couple next door and somewhat constant police and emergency medical responses. Seems mostly frequented by the unhoused and those dealing with addiction. Expect to be asked for a cigarette or a few bucks.The sheets and towels are old and stained. Bedding is worn and most have burn marks. Sink, tub and toilet were constantly clogged. We're staying one street over for similar rate including breakfast, coffee, pool and fitness room.
Safety: The managers are extremely rude to their staff. Guy works.7 days a week and is charged over 450 a week in rent making it impossible to survive. and often results in him going without food or any essentials .
Noteworthy details: Beware of fentanyl in the air and on surfaces. 2 different guests overdosed around a week apart
Drug use is.very common.

I'll never stay at this place ... based on the people staying there .. one particular individual... by the name Tim . He's is a hate filled homeless man with NO moral compass . Believe to be behind the murder of more than one homeless persons pets . He gets retirement checks and panhandle st George Street aggressively creates enemies that are literally looking to hurt him almost daily. He's overdosed on the property more than once and is into hard drugs. I'm simply not gonna support any establishment that allows this kind of individual to find refuge. The guy is a menace. Avoid him older white male maybe in his early 60's or late 50's . Grey beard and is typically drunk . This guy makes most of his living selling drugs I'm fairly certain.
