Really terrific. What an incredibly run resort, beautiful grounds, fun activities, fantastic staff. We spent the weekend at rhe RV Park with our 8 and 12 year olds. The entire family loved it. One suggestion would be to offer fire rings. We were so excited to have a fire and quite disappointed that that was not an option. Rodeo was terrific and restaurants did not disappoint. Outside of charging adults for the playground, the activities and food here are very reasonable. Great job, Westgate management and staff. We can't wait to come back!!!

Our saddle cabin was so dark, dingy and run down that we had to move. Even our dogs disliked it. No problem, though, because we're not planning on going back!

I wish I could give this place a better rating for nostalgia, but this last trip was not like I remember the place to be. We hadn't visited in ages and thought it would be a nice little Spring break trip. I highly recommend going here only on weekends, as much of it is closed down Mon-Thurs which represents a big problem. There was only one restaurant open (they finally opened their pizza place as there were other complaints). It was lucky that we brought food for breakfast and lunch. River Ranch is in the middle of nowhere. There isn't a grocery store or other restaurant within at least 30 miles of this place. On top of that the saloon isn't open on weekdays and the rodeo is only one night a week. The room was nice but way too expensive ($600 a night range) for what we needed, but the only other ones available were like tents and that isn't what we wanted. To add insult to injury, they sent me a $25 e-gift card to a place of my choice (B&N, Nike, etc.) for staying and it expired in one week. Then tech support told me they would take care of it and when we went to use it, it was only $5. They have yet to take care of it. Something simple, but it represents the type of attitude the place has for its customers. Now, the activities were great and the people in charge of them showed us a great time... Horseback Riding, Airboat Ride, Archery, Trap Shooting, etc. And please Westgate, don't tell us you are sorry about everything, because nothing has been done, so don't even bother answering this review with some canned answer.

We had a three night vacation planed at the river Ranch with our 2 kids! We arrived Monday at 7pm, checked in and starved! One of the two restaurants was closed so we went really hungry to the BBQ place on the river! At 8:30 they where open and hat lots of empty tables, but we where told no food is left. No other place at the property for any kind of food! We starved our self into sleep! No place to have breakfast either! Next place to have food is 45 min out. The next day the other Restaurant was open, we went to the Steakhouse, waited for ever - very poor service, overpriced just decent food! No way we would ever come back to that place! The playground for the kids is $20 each and has to be supervised by an adult that has to pay an additional $15. unfortunately half of the toys where out of order! The whole place is just a rip of. The picture shows the loaded Potatoe with sour cream, crispy bacon and chives for $8 the Steak was ordered med/rare but came out almost well done for $36. we could even complain because the waitress never came to our table. And we didnt wanted to wait another hour to correct the food. We left a day earlier than booked, very disappointed
Food & drinks: Not enough Food facilities for a big place like that. Restaurants are very poorly managed and overpriced. You are stuck out in the middle of nowhere and have to go with them. There is a little shop but the variety is very limited and it is very expensive.
