Smokehouse On The River

Although the food was satisfying, the dinner service is terrible. I don't understand what happened, because we had breakfast here earlier, and it was fine. I think there might have been a seating issue with the hostess because no one ever came to our table to service us. I also overheard the table next to us, complaining about the same thing. We ended up complaining to a nearby waitress, about how no one had serviced us yet, and she did absolutely NOTHING to help us. Therefore, we had to go to the front, and complain AGAIN. We wanted to leave so badly, but seeing how this is the only restuarant on property, and the nearest outside restuarant is about 30 miles away, we had no choice, but to try to stay. Very bad experience, and was not offered any comps, or apologies. Will be reaching out to Westgate Resort management, and whoever the general manager of Westgate Smokehouse Grill is after our vacation is over.

It's the only option other than general store to eat at. If you're staying there BRING YOUR OWN FOOD. The service is horrible. They forget everything. It takes forever to get your food. Veggie burgers aren't supposed to be crunchy right? The ONLY reason they are in business with high prices and low service is that there are no other options there. We ate there twice last weekend. Both times unbelievable horrible service. Including the managers and servers. Just bad.

We just went to the smokehouse. Our waitress was very nice. We are 4 large size people and had tons of leftovers because the food was terrible. Everyone said the meat was dry, disgusting and overcooked and green beans were plentiful but bland. Five minutes after sharing the parmesan wings with my family I was in their bathroom with food poisoning. I agree with the reviewer who said bring plenty of food to Westgate River Ranch. We drove 30 minutes to Walmart yesterday to get food after purchasing a bunch of food at their general store. Fyi prices are very high. Regular pack of hot dogs was 9$, pack of sliced cheese was $9, etc. Beware!!!

The service was trash and so was the food. My buddy and I both ate the cowboy burger. It’s was overcooked and we both have the squirts today. I will never be back. Also it was way over priced. Two beers and a burger shouldn’t be thirty dollars. Don’t waste your time or money here. We were one of four tables and were there for over an hour. All the servers Stood around talking to each other.
