Initially, I ordered a dock in the Sea Forest area of New Port Richey (which means they had to drill the poles). I waited a full 6 months for them to get to me. Drew was a good guy, but the crew would stop work early and arrive late. They were at the house, but sitting in the truck doing nothing. As an employer, I would have been truly upset. Eventually the dock was completed with upgraded, direct drive motors installed. The limit switches were improperly installed, meaning when the tide was too low, I couldn't get my boat out. I called them several times- no response. I just adjusted the switches myself. Within 4 months, one of the motors began leaking oil. I went to the store, Drew and everyone I knew was gone, and some guy told me he'd come out within two weeks and that they don't do docks in our area anymore (this location is less than 3 miles form the office). Fast forward 4 months, and I cannot get them out to look at their defective equipment. Please heed this advice and run.

We hired this company to build deck with a hand rail in back of the house. We did pay him the required deposit and money at the start of work as contracted. Prior to the final decking being installed the salesperson called us and said the owner didn't want to build the handrail we contracted but wanted to sell us an upscale elaborate hand rail for $1500 which was not necessary according to County Code. He would not deliver the final decking until we decided on the handrail. We said "we have a contract" and the response was "the boss doesn't care about the contract." He wouldn't even talk to us. The sales person said he doesn't like to be disturbed. We did not buy their $1500 handrail. They did credit us for the original handrail but now we are having a problem finding a contractor who will only build a handrail. It's a small job. My husband is handicapped and cannot enjoy the deck until a handrail is built.  I would not recommend this company.

Hired Gulfside for the first time approximately five years ago.  I was looking for a way to ensure my seawall would last as it was being undermined by strong currents where we live.  We debated between a new sea wall and putting rip rap in.  In the end, we decided on rip rap as being the more permanent solution and hired Gulfside to do the work.   They were professional.  They were responsive to our needs and addressed concerns promptly and completely.  We were completely satisfied with their work and five years on still pleased that we made the right decision.  We are just now hiring Gulfside again to do a new project for us.  We went back to Gulfside due to the great job done earlier and are super pleased with Paul Kelley, Drew Beard, and Wallace.  Great team to work with and highly recommend them.
