        I've driven past this place for years and I finally gave them a try recently when I had a laptop issue. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Dave is obviously knowledgeable and competent in the computer field. My repair was done very quickly and at quick reasonable fee. I was treated in a professional yet friendly manner. I feel confident in referring any person to this shop. Bravo!

        Stay AWAY from Discount Computer Repair in Port Charlotte FL. I instructed the owner, .as well as the worker there that I wanted to have my 8 year old IPAD cleaned up but to keep one app that contained 880 pieces of manuscript music to remain. The worker that took my order wrote it down then the manger came over and agreed to this. The next day my husband went to pick up the IPAD and discovered the tablet was wiped clean despite my written and verbal instructions to keep the one app! The manager became unhinged, verbally combative and threatened my husband saying "I'll knock you out with one punch" In disbelief my husband questioned his sanity, gave the owner $75 cash as the owner followed my husband out the door cursing at him. My husband called Charlotte County Sheriff who visited the establishment and spoke to the owner with no clear resolution except for telling the deputy that the app could be retrieved. This man should not be in business but in jail! STAY AWAY!

      This would be funny if the claims weren’t so serious. The problem here is she is lying to her husband. When SHE dropped it off we emphatically told her that it would need to be wiped clean. I personally looked her in the eye and said, do you understand that this iPad will come back to you like the first day you purchased it from Apple. I told her there would be nothing on it and she approved the work. When her husband came in to pick it up and found out there was no data on it. He the was angry. He talked to his wife and she now , realizing what she had done denied approving it. He became violent to the point where we had to trespass him and kick him out. We have security cameras to prove our claim. The Sheriff did nothing after explaining it to him. We told the sheriff he had been trespassed and passed on that we would have him arrested if he came in again. We were caught in the crossfire of her lies to her husband.
