Skillets - Port Charlotte - Peachland Promenade

We usually go to the skillets in Venice and thought to try this one on our way to Ft Lauderdale... very disappointing. The food was quite flavorless and overall bland. I had their potato pancakes, which were sloppy, undercooked, and not even salt on it. It's quite shocking, being that it's not that far from the Venice location, which is so much better.

Lan is an excellent server, she is very knowledgeable about the menu and has a fantastic personality, I will be coming back!!

The place was very busy but there was a lot of staff! My husband had an egg bowl that was very pricy $16 for a small portion. (Thus the 4 stars.) I had a turkey wrap, It was OK. Everything was fresh, my husband's food was served hot. We ate at the bar. I did like that everyone participated in getting plates of food out as they came up so they were served hot to the other tables. I didn't like waiting almost 15 minutes for the check when we were finished. The chips that came with my wrap were stale and the pickle was wilted. We will return. We were also greeted by a manager while we ate. It was a bit pricey. Over $40 for breakfast and we drank only water.

Heard good things about this new restaurant so we took family there for breakfast. The food wasnt good. I had blueberry pancakes that were dry and had no taste without syrup and the scrambled eggs were just one big bland lump! Hubby had potato pancakes which were also bland! And the price for all this was insane!! Try this place if you want but we wont go back again!!
