Im a life coach who helps people to better themselves spiritually, mentally and emotionally. Sophia is one of thee hairstylist from beauty and smiles. Sophia is a very volatile person who likes to bully people with disabilities. I brought my client to this establishment twice for her to get her hair done by her favorite hair stylist Mani, whove treated my client with love and respect, and the two times Ive experienced nothing but uncomfortable looks and aggression from Sophia given to my client. My client almost caught a seizure due to Sophia cussing and screaming at her in front of other clients. I dont understand how the owner allows for vulgar behavior like this to represent her establishment, especially people living with disabilities?

Omg this place is the bomb, last minute and service was great and she did a fabulous fabulous job, she know what she's doing and was very nice, take her time and did a fabulous fabulous job......im so pleased

Now I never leave bad reviews, especially for black owned businesses but my experience here was not it. I saw this salon and asked if they did sew ins and the owner told me no that they do only wig installations. That should have given all I needed and I walked out, but I asked if she knew anyone that she could recommend that does sew ins as I was looking to replace my last stylist and she suggested the young man that works on her salon. She took my number and he called me, being very professional and not overly pushy. I checked out his work on IG and while it wasnt amazing, it wasnt horrible. Day of my install there were a lot of red flags that should have told me to just get up out the seat. One, midway through I asked what hair school he went to and he said none, I asked if he had his license or was planning on getting it he said he didnt have one and that he wasnt sure if he would. Now why would someone hire a person who has only been doing hair for three years with no license work in their salon. I told him that my hair felt loose and that he could go tighter but he said that this was his process, and I said ok just trust the process. What really did it for me was he took the hair on my closure and ripped the hair and lace off. I had NEVER seen anyone rip the hair off of a closure/frontal but use a hair razor to cut it. I left being professional and because the curl pattern of the hair was so bouncy I didnt really notice the quality of the work. By the next day I went back because I could feel my closure lift up as I walk or talk and could flip it 2 fingers back, and when I showed the owner she said OH NO THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED. but even after he fixed it, it was lopsided and the rest of my hair still loose. After $270 paid and 2 days in my head I called and stated my not feeling so secure and my family stating that the install did not look well, I called and advised the owner and she said well why are you letting your family influence your decision I said if my family felt that way Im sure anyone who sees me would as well but thankfully my family is honest with me. I asked to have it taken down and she said it would be $50. I ended up taking it down myself and while Im out the money, Im more upset that they just didnt turn me away and say that they couldnt service me and Id have kept looking for a stylist. **** unprofessional response. Yes I brought my son who either sat in my lap or stayed in his stroller his foot never touched the ground to which I asked first if I could bring him and was given the ok. Lack of class, also youre upset that I didnt purchase your bundles.
