WARNING: Unethical and unprofessional hiring practices. The assistant manager, Alex, is unprofessional and unethical. He hired my partner and pressure him to to leave his job, kept calling and calling, had my partner go through the entire hiring process, which he passed with no problems, claimed that everything was sorted, then pressured him to start working without a contract. My partner stated he would begin the second week of January to finalize things on his end before starting only for Alex to text him that he couldnt hire him a week before he was set to begin and he had already left his previous job. He literally made up something that he had said was not an issue WEEKS later. Alexs response? Basically, too bad. He left my family in peril by risking my partners employment. So, WARNING to anyone that applies for a job at this store, they have some shady stuff going on and do not care about the Latino workers. Alex pressured and harassed my partner bc he was overqualified for the position for weeks. I cant decide if Alex is a bigot against disabled people or just really bad at decency and a failure at his one job. Oh, and the position was advertised for more money. They basically lied on their job post about how much the position paid. Unethical!! Alex, you are a garbage person. May 2023 bring you and your family the stress, struggle, and financial instability you have created in the lives of others. Pendejo. I sure would not shop at a store that cares so little about workers lives. I hope any customer reading this goes to Ashley Furniture or any other chain store.
