Florida Sunseeker Underwater Pool Lighting

UPDATE: Reply below from the company is not accurate. Making excuses. The light was professionally installed and the water leak from the back of the light with corrosion seeping out of the plastic seam on the back of the light. This is not an upgrade and was not an upgrade kit. I have a niche like most most others and just ordered a new light from them. Notice how the company deflects responsibility. I did not order a gasket or anything resembling a upgrade. Stop with that nonsense. You even said the light had a known issue but you had addressed it and you tried to get me to order another one. Buyer Beware. Do not buy from the company. I ordered a PoolTone light in 2020 ($450) and had it professionally installed in 2021 ($250) due to pandemic. The light has already failed - 2 seasons = 8mos. Called Sunseeker and guy told me it was a design flaw and this light leaks and my warranty expired (a company known product flaw and warranty expired = out of luck). Then he said, "this is a pool light, it's what happens to pool lights" - shady business practice. That tells you all you need to know about their products - I had a Pentair SAM light for 17 years - and changed bulb once - this PoolTone lasted 8 mos of usage - 2 total seasons in the Midwest. Product is faulty by their acknowledgement and the customer service was terrible too. Caveat emptor. I'm going back to a reputable mainstream pool light brands - no more disposable junk lights from Sunseeker. There is a small amount of corrosion leaking out of the seam on the back of the light where the electrical is housed. You may get a season or two out of their product as it takes time for the seal to breakdown and then the light to leak in enough water to cause damage but after that you are on your own.

They charge a 20% restocking fee for items that havent even been open upon a return item within 30 days. Ridiculous

Received my pooltone 6g color LED light and subsequently installed it. Wow!!! Much brighter than my previous Color Splash light from j&j electronics, who was recently bought out by loser Hayward. My Color Splash light only last 2.5 years. Hayward refused to honor j&j's warranty. Maybe it was a good thing because Florida Sunseeker is brighter, bolder and cost less $.

I ordered my Pentair replacement light kit and it arrives today Packaging was good and I appreciate the small nuts and bolts that came with it Installation was easy and it works like a charm right out of the box I'm looking for a long lasting cool light and this may be it, I hope so 09/23/2023

Cheap, low-quality products, horrible customer support, total scam. Stick to the big brands, they are more expensive for a reason, you get what you pay for. Avoid at all costs!
