The Atlantic Preserve

Ive lived here for five years, started as a great, clean place to live but it has completely deteriorated. Do not move here! Trash is not picked up, basically a landfill at the front of the complex. The valet service is horrible. They dont always pick up your trash and rodents come and pick through it. Maintenance requests go unanswered and the front office staff is completely unresponsive. And when they do respond they offer no help. A new owner just took over and nothing has changed. Rent continues to go up and the quality of living goes down.

If you are reading reviews because you are considering living hereDO NOT MOVE IN HERE. I have been living here for over 4 years and like many other have said, this place is becoming a DUMP. As you can see from the picture the trash area ALWAYS looks like this. There are literally rats, vultures, and possums all over the property due to this. The smell, as you can imagine, is disgusting. I have already filed a complaint with code enforcement. In addition, you can go WEEKS before they actually repair or replace your appliances. The new property management is awful and responds is a very belittling way. I beg of you take this RECENT reviews serious and DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS PLACE, you will regret it!

Strange my previous review was not showing but just to sum it up. Ive been a resident for 4 years and this will be my last. This place is definitely not worth paying $2200. Trash is disgusting and infested with ducks, rats, vultures, etc. Its been 7 almost 8 months of them saying theyre working on getting it sorted out yet the trash area look like an actual landfill. Gym never gets cleaned. Landscaping is always poorly. Not enough doggy stations - and the stations are always overfilling with trash/smell yet never have any bags in them. This place used to be amazing but idk what happened.

like expected from prior feedback they put charges for damages and never sent me any pictures as to why are they charging over $2000 did not mention my deposit , just an arbitrary mail i can understand management managed properties have this as their fundamental modus operandi to maintain the cash flow totally understandable strategy that it hurts the credit score scare them will see how it goes with the legalities and procedures

This is the worse apartment complex I have ever dealt with . If you guys are looking to move to this property don’t . The have false advertising in the website . As I understand they got bought over by a new management group and are advertising newly renovated apartments at a higher price . Unfortunately I believe they still have the same old staff and mentality because as I walked into the apartment we leased we can definitely tell it wasn’t up to par with the website description. Jessica, one of their employees walked the apartment with us and she agreed the apartment wasn’t to standard and took pictures and said she will do her best to get the apartment to the condition it needs to be in for move in .We were told that someone supposedly walked it, Destiny was our representative but according to her the apartment was in good condition to move in . At first glance the outside hallways were dirty and duck feces everywhere , when we walked into the apartment the first thing you smell is old mold and the floors where lifted had paint stains every where and it had a big white stain in the living room that can easily come off with polishing but they decided to leave it like that , it was also really dirty . Walking into the kitchen they didn’t repaint the cabinets inside or out and the light fixtures were lifted and you can see all the cables inside the wall ,the refrigerator was rusted and the stove scratched and dirty . Walking towards the bathroom the toilet in this specific apartment is peach color that honestly looked so old and disgusting and clearly from the old apartment model and it didn’t match with the bathroom, even tho in their pictures it’s clearly white . I understand it might not be a big deal to some but if you are remodeling and advertising new remodeled apartment and paying for a “remodeled apartment “ everything needs to be up to par with the website, that just a partial remodeled then not fully . The backsplash tiles were two different colors, painted in some areas and had patches of paint in others and the floor panels were the old wallpaper brown that they didn’t even get replaced . The main bedroom roof was dirty and not repainted and they had patches in the walls that who ever patched them didn’t know what they were doing as you can still see the indent .The patio screen doors where torn and it has holes , and let’s not talk about the washer n dryer it was rusted and moldy inside.This is extremely disappointing because I’m sure the new owners will never stand for the kind of conditions they are turning these apartments in. We didn’t accept the apartment and told Jessica we where willing to give them an extra week to fix these issues , but obviously we will need some kind of accommodation since this is their fault and we are loosing a week rent . Today Monday, Destiny said in her eyes the apartment was move in ready and that if we want to move the rental date we will have to be charged more money and the rent will go up . I don’t know about you but I will never turn in an apartment in such bad condition and I don’t understand how they think someone will accept living in such disgusting and smelly condition , specially that we are giving a one month deposit .We where more than willing to wait for them to make the appropriate changes because Jessica showed us a different apartment in it was in good standing conditions and move in ready and the toilet was changed and the apartment looked like the pictures . Don’t be fooled their apartments are not uniformed as it’s expected in these types of communities ,they do as they see fit , my guess is these people are pocketing the remodeling money and leaving the old things and changing them to their conviene .We broke the lease and they are going to refund us the deposit along with the other fees but they refuse to give us $560 back because we “reserved the apartment “ .Don’t be fooled by the website and make sure you do your research and most importantly see the apartment you’re renting prior to singing the lease. It’s such a shame because the complex has so much potential but they have really rude unprofessional people working for them with bad work etiquette.
