I reached out to King Law after seeing multiple advertisements in flyers for "cheaper" estate planning. a $750 advertised price but when you speak to an actual person it's really double the price for a single person, additional if you have a spouse or partner. Still 'inexpensive' so to speak. After speaking with ABBY, she informed me I needed to fill out a client intake before speaking to someone. What was assumed to be a 1 page casual intake is really your entire life information including but not limited to your : name, address, phone, email, children's legal name, birthdays, all your real estate information (I have many), power of attorney, estate benificiary information, percentage of dollar amount, business information and HOLY COW your whole personal life! I emailed her back stating this is an awful lot of personal information for me to disclose prior to an initial consultation. I am not comfortable with disclosing all my personal information before we have agreed to to go with your services. Please have Mr Orlando call but all of this is irrelevant as I am just looking for an INITIAL CONSULT , more of an informational meeting for me to better understand living trusts, wills, estate planning, etc. Their reply is nothing short of sketchy and standoffish " In order for us to best consult you, we require this information.If you were to come in person, we would be asking the same thing. If you are feeling uncomfortable providing this to us, it may be best that you find another law firm that can better assist you. " Well...what you didn't know is I have already consulted with another law firm who does things in a more professional and less hasty manner. Such an important decision of my life wishes and estate planning SHOULD be in 3 meetings at LEAST. Firstly, a consultation. Secondly, the details. Thirdly, meeting in person to sign . You would be getting what you pay for at King Firm. We are happily going with Ed Gegan and his wonderful assistant Elizabeth. Please do your research before falling for false advertisements. You wouldn't even be meeting with Mr King himself, it will be an associate. And he is too busy to meet without having ALL your private information. Attorney Gegan himself called me for a 1 hour information consultation, free of charge, with ZERO information needed from me. Choose Wisely friends.
