Not just some but Everyone we encountered was helpful and responsive to my husband's needs. All seemed to genuinely care. I cannot say enough, how satisfied we are.

I want to share a heartfelt review of our experience at Specialty Select Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. On February 28th, 2024, my mother was transferred from West Florida Hospital ICU to Select Specialty Hospital ICU. She had been at West Florida Hospital since February 11th, 2024, on a ventilator and feeding tube. During her time there, we were repeatedly told that she wouldn't be able to breathe on her own and that she wasn't expected to leave the hospital. Despite this, we held onto our faith that she would recover, as she was still responsive to commands. Things started to turn around once she began dialysis to help with fluid buildup and was admitted to Select Specialty Hospital. Initially, the staff was hesitant to accept our family's determination to be with our mom around the clock, but they eventually understood and appreciated our level of care and support. Dr. Goldsmith and the entire staff at Select Specialty Hospital have exceeded our expectations in the level of care and support they have provided for our mom. Dr. Goldsmith's dedication to restoring my mom's quality of life and getting her off the ventilator has been truly remarkable. The dialysis team from Fresenius has also done an amazing job coordinating with the hospital to ensure she receives the appropriate levels of treatment whenever necessary. The respiratory team has been instrumental in her transition from the ventilator to breathing room air and ultimately the removal of the trachea. Jay, her case manager, has been phenomenal from day one, responding to any questions or concerns and keeping us informed about her plan of care. He has also been a great help with FMLA for me and handling insurance issues for my mom. The nurses and CNAs have been attentive and provided excellent care. We have been particularly impressed by Charlie, her physical therapist, whose approach has helped our mom regain strength and make great strides in her recovery. She was able to walk from her bed to the bathroom and back on her own with a walker. Additionally, we are thrilled to share that our mom has made significant progress in her ability to eat. Despite being told that she would not be able to have anything by mouth due to the risk of aspiration, she has recently been able to tolerate sips of Jello, applesauce, and vegetable broth. This milestone in her recovery has brought us immense joy and hope for her future. Thanks to the outstanding care provided by Select Specialty Hospital in Pensacola, Florida, coupled with our family's round-the-clock support and unwavering faith, our mom is making remarkable progress on her journey to recovery. She is now off the ventilator, the trachea has been removed, she is breathing on her own with oxygen as needed, and she is able to walk with assistance. Special appreciation to Melissa and all the receptionist/ security team who have been encouraging and phenomenal through the entire process. We are grateful for the exceptional care and support we have received at Specialty Select Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. The dedication and expertise of the medical staff, along with the coordination with outside teams like Fresenius, have truly made a difference in our mom's recovery. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in her care for going above and beyond our expectations.

My husband spent 3 weeks at this facility and received excellent care. We have been surrounded by competent, compassionate and knowledgeable staff. Everyone from admissions, case management, doctors, PT, OT, ST, nurses, dietitian and CNA's. Special thanks to Charlie and Janet from PT, nurses Lonna and Amanda, CNA's Maysie and Brandon.
