I have been very pleased with First Command over the past 5 years and 3 different locations. Every time is an excellent experience.
You can read up on all the pros and cons about this financial group but at the end of the day, just talk to the advisors. Most of them started their careers with First Command and they are doing quite well, just ask them. There may be better places out there but I still have yet to find it.

WARNING MILITARY:
Please be aware they can help with setting a budget. But look out for there schemes of whole life insurance which is a total scam. They also make you open a bank account with them you can't access. They totally take advantage of military. Please look into it and talk to financial advisors on base that don't get commission. I closed my account with them and they closed it but put a small charge on the account and ruined my credit.
