Maple Street Biscuit Company

So we have been coming here for a while since they opened and they were great, they were booming. Food, service and atmosphere was great. Key word: was. Now, they went super down hill. I dont even know what happened. Possibly short staffed but either way its not good anymore. I saw inside the kitchen and it was dirty. Staff member was wearing gloves and using her phone while cooking. I would have recommend this place a year ago to anyone but now, Im not even gonna do that you guys lol.

Found this little place on google. I honestly thought it would be similar to First Watch, but realized that it's more of a fast food place. Place needs a bit more TLC as it was new but a bit dirty, napkins on floor, menus spread all over the counter, dirty dishes piled up. Menu has plenty of great options, we had the Five and Dime biscuits, waffles, the Keto Bowl, fried green tomatoes, and 4 biscuits reg and chocolate chip. I was looking forward to the chocolate chip biscuits but they were dry and the staff forgot to add the icing, which still didn't make it better. Overall great comfort food, not expensive, quick service.

I normally dont do reviews, but I had to take the time out to write this one. I would consider myself a foodie, and Id like to try different things. I came here around noon I did look at different reviews that were made, and in my opinion, the food does not look quite like, the pictures of course it will not be similar but the biscuits were hard and the chicken was not really to my liking. It is more about the quality of the food. The aesthetics of the place is nice. They were out of grits by noon. Not sure if it was a busy day for them. There was water leaking in the back Granted there is a caution sign but there is no ice inside of the machine so you have to walk back and forth after stepping in puddles of water. I spent about $36 on getting food for myself so I will not say that they are cheap the waffles complain with no topping but the syrup has a nice maple flavor. I am not sure if I will be coming back to this location to try food again because the food did not grab my attention. There are some things that they can change, or maybe I caught them on a bad day in my opinion the food was not worth the total price may have been better to go to a local Mom and Pop breakfast diner. Another thing that caught my attention and this is not on the location. I think it is a part of the style of the restaurant when you come in and when you are leaving, you are greeted with a table full of dishes that you put your leftover trays in my opinion it is not common to see a table full of leftover dishes as soon as you come into a restaurant, maybe I would consider putting bins there so that you can discard your plates more discreetly, but it is very uncommon imagine walking into a restaurant, and you are greeted with a table full of dishes it is not aesthetically pleasing. Staff was nice
