Starbucks is always consistent with their food and service. It could be weeks in-between my visits and everything is always great!!

My recent visits to Starbucks have left me feeling nostalgic for the once-magical "green straw" experience. Nowadays, it's become more of a consistent yet unremarkable experience. The transactional nature of the service is efficient for many, allowing you to quickly grab your coffee and go. However, this efficiency can sometimes feel impersonal, resembling more of a fast-food routine than a personalized coffee experience. While Starbucks still boasts an extensive coffee selection, the rise of places like Cali Cafe, offering great service and innovative drinks, has diminished Starbucks' appeal. The overpriced coffee and confusing size naming convention no longer hold the charm they once did. Nevertheless, I must admit, I still have a soft spot for their overpriced croissants and the delicious "everything bagel with cream cheese," despite its simplicity. For those who enjoy bagels, Einstein Bagels is a worthy alternative. Despite its shortcomings, Starbucks remains a reliable meeting place with WiFi, perfect for catching up with friends or observing the comings and goings of strangers conducting interviews or remote work tasks. Overall, while the "green straw" experience may have lost some of its magic, Starbucks still offers a convenient spot for coffee and camaraderie, even if it comes with a hefty price tag.
