Shell Island Pontoon Boats

If I could give zero stars, I would. Prior to booking this several hundred dollar boat rental, I was enticed with beautiful blue, clear, gulf water photos. However, this was most definitely not the case. The water was brown, and so murky. Our boat guide barely even gave us a safety introduction, let alone giving us no instructions on how to even get back. Our anchor was rusted entirely and didnt even touch the ground in most parts. The guide informed us that the boat goes about 15-20 MPH. But, again this was not the case. Our boat went a top speed of 7MPH. We were going so slow the jet skis were speeding past us. Coming from a primarily south Florida traveler, this place was AWFUL. Do not waste your time, money, or well-being with Shell Island Pontoons.

Some people that complain about service should just go home, why pay money if you don't plan on having fun. Go buy your own boat.

It was a professional experience from the start. They were quite a bit cheaper than most for a rental so I was expecting a ok service. But when we arrived it was a great greeting and paperwork was waiting on us. We were on our boat in less than 5 minutes. Given a quick saftey tour of the boat shown some good spots on the map and we were on our way. Boat was clean, nice and worked flawlessly. This was a great time we seen dauphin right up next to our boat found tons of awesome shells and enjoyed beautiful beaches that hardly had anyone around. I would recommend this more than anything else to do in the area on vacation.
