We checked out of our previous stay and needed somewhere to stay last night so we booked here. Thankfully we got to check in two hours early, but that process wasnt easy. I had to call multiple times and got someone with booking who said to call back and dial 0 I had to do this about 6 times to reach anyone at the hotel. So eventually my husband went inside and asked if we could check in and thankfully we could. Check in is at 4 we checked in at 2 GA time. Front desk said that they kept calling me (they didnt even have my correct #, had a number Ive never heard of.) checked in, had to sign something regarding smoking which I dont so I signed it. The entire time people were smoking cigarettes and pot. The place reeked of it. We stayed 04/06-04/07. The place was nice but not as clean as it couldve/ shouldve been by no means. Perfect location on beach, BUT parking sucks next to Sharkeys (its a shared parking lot). Kids are supposed to eat free at Sharkeys so we decided to eat there for our last night. Well when we mentioned our children eating free the waitress said nope you have to have a coupon. The front desk at the Reef didnt give us a coupon. They gave us coupons for other free things like the sky wheel, gulf world & all so all we brought to Sharkeys was our brochure thing they gave us when we checked in. Sharkeys said they have had this happen multiple times and to let the reef know to make sure people are obtaining their coupon for kids to eat free. After speaking to the manager Sharkeys did comp our childs meal and it was free so that was nice but very upsetting for the hotel to false advertise because that is the only reason we chose to eat there, especially for our last night when weve never eaten there before. Otherwise we had a great time at the beach and we got there on Wednesday, April 3rd. The spring breakers are by far worst part of the stay. ALSO the back door has no way to lock it when you go out of it to the beach. so thats very scary unless you leave it locked and walk around the entire hotel which is inconvenient Rooms: The room we stayed in was a 2 bed, kitchenette its nice until you look at cleanliness. Safety: It definitely didnt feel safe with all of the sitens constantly going off from the spring breakers trouble, loud music, pot being smoked & random yelling at all hours of the night

I'm a real person who enjoys doing reviews, so I'm going to be honest, this room was decent for the price paid. It was a little outdated but the views and location were perfect. The restroom and tub had little hairs everywhere. Which is one of my biggest petpeeves. I took my own Lysol spray and Lysol wipes to wipe tables, countertops, lamp switches, doorknobs and remote control. I also took my own disposal bed sheets for my bed/pillowcases and laid my own sheets on top. I did not have any issues with bugs or bedbugs. Which I was afraid of. Parking sucks, there wasn't anymore parking in the parking lot so we had to park across the street. There is a ice machine you have to pay for ice $7 , which is not cool. But the views and location for the price paid cannot be beat! There is no Breakfest provided but I took my own griddle and food to cook for my family and I. The pool is decent as well. We went Easter weekend 3/31/24. Overall, great views and location for the price. We may be back... Maybe.. Rooms: Decent for price.

The room was not like the room in the picture. There were no doors on the cabinets. The refridgerator had rust on the bottom of the front door. The bath tub was not clean when we arrived. There was cracking plaster throughout the room and bathroom. The toilet paper holder was falling off he wall. The toilet ran constantly. The ouside balconly was filty with dirt and someones leftover cantalope was still out there. The cover to the airconditioner was falling off. I had to ask for towels and wash cloths everyday we were there becuase they did not bring them to the room at all. People were throwing food from the upper balconys constantly and a piece of balonga hit me in the head. The walls were so thin that I could hear my neighbors cell phone conversation very clearly. The parking lot was small and shared by the Sharkys bar next door so there was no place to park my car at all. I had to park the car about a block away across the main road and walk to my room through alot of drunk people that were at the bar. On wednesday night, just after the bar closed there was a big fight in the parking lot right outside my room that lasted about 45 minutes. There was alot of noise and commotion with them revving up the engine of there big truck and very loud base music and yelling and fighting with alot of screaming. It was a very scarey experience for me and my 82 year old mother was terrified. We left a day early because it was a very uncomfortable experience. The hotel desk said that they would not refund my money for the last night that we did not spend there, but then he spoke to his manager, and the manager said it was okay to refund my money for the last night. I have not received the refund as of yet. The hotel was on the beach and the beach was pretty, but the hotel was a bad experience.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Rented 2 rooms for a week. Dangerously disgusting rooms. Staff was horrible as well. Ive stayed in a lot of hotels in my life and its amazing that this one is even open. Impossible for them to ever have any returning guests.
