Plazadoor Corp in its website praises its "Dealer Support" and that We take our reputation seriously". There are Plazadoor hurricane impact sliding glass doors in my apartment which have issues in that the doors are very difficult to open and close, a serious problem for one of my senior age. Plazadoors Authorized Dealer installed them but could not resolve those issues. Initially, Plazadoors "Dealers Support" for me was good. Plazadoor telephoned me at the urging of the Authorized Dealer and said they would like to come to my apartment to see the faulty doors and figure out the problem. Plazadoor came, examine the faulty doors and said they would come back at a later date and fix them free of charge. The promised call back did not occur because of the COVID- 19 restricted access to my apartment building. However, when the COVID- 19 restricted access was lifted, Plazadoor "Dealer Support ended. Plazadoor decided it would no longer do the work, but rather would delegate it to a Contractor who would do the work at Plazadoors expense. However when the Contractor came to my apartment to view the faulty windows, he questioned whether he could remove them to work on them because they were put in so tight. My sense was that the contractor wanted thousands of dollars only to try to fix the problem. Then Plazadoor said for the first time after working on the faulty windows for months: "Clearly there are install issues on your doors, The company that installed these is no longer an authorized dealer to us, I propose you work directly with[ the Contractor ] , "I will offset $500 for your costs with a check direct to you and "The problem is 100% install with not (no) issue with the doors. I checked back with the Contractor and he said he would only charge by the hour and he will give no guarantee of success. As matters stand, my installed Plazadoor hurricane impact sliding glass doors remain faulty.
