This community uses Allied Universal Security as their gatekeeper. As a delivery service partner with several distributors dealing with Allied Universal Security at this property location and several others, it has been by far the absolute worst experience. Let this be a HINT to the H.O.A & AUS. A third-party delivery contractor attempted a few deliveries on December 2, 2023. Security personnel (female) with "Bat Lashes" had asked to see the package. The driver declined and suggested that security contact the resident to verify that he/she is expecting a delivery. For reasons of privacy, every item is not packaged or placed in a brown box separately. Sometimes, it's just the actual item with the label. Lashes refused to contact the resident. Instead, she informed the driver that it's AUS POLICY to verify the package. There's several problems with AUS inept logic, most importantly intentionally playing on an individual's privacy & 4th Amendment rights inadvertently. I see exactly what's going on. Ohh... just have the driver search their own vehicle. 1. Some drivers can have 90+ packages in their vehicle at any given time and over 70+ stops. No matter if the packages are organized prior to leaving the warehouse, one wide turn, and/or a lane shift, the organization is out the window, packages everywhere. Delivery routes are timed. No driver has time for the extra nonsense. 2. Then, Lashes foolishly states she was trained to verify if the label was authentic. The driver took a second look at her eyelashes & asked how. She replied that she had to feel the package to make sure something was in it, not once mentioning verifying the authenticity of the label. That ignorant statement was countered with, anyone can create a label, glue it to a package, and place a clothespin or a piece of felt in it. Now what? She just stood there batting her eyelash extensions with no comment. My point is that showing a package means absolutely NOTHING ! If you want to detour crime or keep certain individuals out of your community, verify the delivery with the recipient. Treating some delivery drivers like suspects upon approach will guarantee a package return. 3. The driver declined to search their vehicle and, therefore, declined to make the delivery. The driver called to inform the resident what had occurred. The resident stated they would contact security. The driver returned. The shift stupavisor (male) confirmed the resident did call to confirm the delivery. That would now make the delivery driver a guest, right? Nope ! The shift stupavisor still needed to see the package. That's just asinine ! I've rescued street dogs with a higher I.Q. 4. The shift stupavisor then contradicted Lashes' previous statement that it was AUS policy. The shift stupavisor stated it was now an order coming from Frenchmans Reserve. If so, Dear Frenchman's Reserve HOA & Management, Your community is by far NOT the new 90210 of the south. Especially when your community is roosting next to an unincorporated city where the population is unknown. With that said, adult ! Be responsible & cognizant of "RESIDENTIAL" deliveries, collectively or individually. Please & thank you. Ironically, this is not the first property my drivers have experienced this same exact issue with AUS. Allied discriminately chooses which delivery contractors to antagonize, and it all varies by property & location. Holiday season or not, but especially around the holidays, residents will be ordering and receiving packages either for themselves or from family, friends, and loved ones. Some residents' will receive packages ordered by other family members and friends but will have their name on the package(s) not the actual residents' but will have the residents' correct address, however when a community contract absolute morons to guard its fort, deliveries without a doubt will be delayed, marked as undeliverable and/or returned to the seller. Let's see how well that resignate with residents.
