Not my favorite place but is the only local place that will except me front desk workers are rude and some doctors don't care if they stab your mouth with the tools they use I've only had one (1) nice doctor I don't recommend for immediate dental emergency because it will take months

Got my teeth extracted on Friday the 2nd of December, and the Dentist and the assistant were rude to me. Saying they are only excepting kids, if that was the case why didnt that call me and let me know so I can find somewhere else to go. I felt like the procedure was rushed and they wanted me out fast. They didnt even want me to follow up. The dentist proscribed me amoxicillin, which I told him I was allergic to. Had to call after hours and get someone to prescribe me something else. On the 6th I was having pain, and wanted to know if my mouth was healing properly, they did extract 11 top teeth, so I called and made a follow up. They were mad when I showed up on the 7th, giving me the evil eye. They looked at my mouth real fast and said yeah its healing great. What are you worried about. They rushed me out. No bedside manners. Dont recommend this place at all.

It's a shame most of us don't have a choice in where we go, because these reviews should surely scare a lot of people away. Here is my story. I went to the Aza Dental Palatka location because the St. Augustine one I normally go to did not have a dentist at the time (a dentist office without a dentist... hmm). It was a good hour away for me. The office staff are incredibly nice and the wait was short, >a half hour. The assistants and dentist were also very nice. HOWEVER, nice doesn't make for good dental work, unfortunately. I was there to have an extraction done on a back tooth that had been destroyed by another dentist, Regency Dental in Jax. They had done a filling incorrectly and sealed in bacteria that ate my tooth out from the inside, requiring a root canal. Since it was a back tooth and I didn't want to spend the money on a root canal I chose to have it removed. The dentist at Aza said she could do this since it was a relatively simple extraction. The extraction was scheduled the next week, which was great because the tooth hurt a lot. The actual extraction was unlike any I've ever had (I had my wisdom teeth and another tooth pulled). She worked it and worked it and worked it for a good 20+ minutes. Finally she was pulling with the extraction plyer like tool they use and it popped out, but the giant metal plyers hit my front tooth from the inside on the way out VERY HARD. I immediately felt my tooth to see if it was chipped on the bottom, and it felt like it was ok (however that entire side of my mouth was numb). She was super apologetic and showed me a mirror where I could see the bottom of my front tooth was fine. I went home and the next day found out there is indeed a large chip in the back of that tooth that was not there before. I immediately called the office, who was very nice. But. They had a woman who said she was the office manager call me. First she read the dentists report to make sure it was noted, and luckily it was, the dentist described the incident and said I checked it in the mirror and it looked ok. She then said any damage to my tooth was covered by the waver I signed and proceeded to quote it to me. I understand that dental work can have issues and I know about the waver, HOWEVER most dentists if they make a mistake will bring you in and try to fix it. Some simple bonding would do the trick. She made it clear that any work needed to repair the tooth (a FRONT TOOTH that they have now weakened considerably) would cost me money. She said I could come back and have her "look" at it but nothing would be done to fix it so I decided not to waste an hour trip there. As far as the extraction, she had stuffed it with synthetic material that dissolves and stitched it shut to avoid dry socket (I told her I have had it before and never want to have it again, always my bottom jaw). This caused the pressure to build up with nowhere to go and caused me incredible pain for about a week, and the teeth all around that tooth (even on the top) hurt very bad also for another week. So two weeks of pretty bad pain. It was like she had damaged something, the pain even went up to my ear on that side. So there is my story, a tooth destroyed by one dentist when being pulled out another dentist damages another tooth. And there is no recourse and nowhere else to go if you don't have insurance. To be clear, the dentist I saw was a woman, Dr. Lynn.
