Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I cannot say enough good about my first experience needing plumbing service, and extreme compliments to Deon for his service and professionalism. The shower and toilet in my master suite suddenly stopped draining on Easter and I called at 6:30pm. The phone representative was extremely friendly, told me a technician would arrive within the next two hours, and Deon arrived before 8:30. He determined the issue was a clog in a branch drain line, quoted a price upfront, and spent over two hours fixing the issue, testing it, and cleaning up. From start to finish he was professional, respectful to us and our home, and he explained what he was doing step by step. Based on this experience I will certainly call Roto-Rooter Oviedo the next time I need a plumber.

Absolutely horrible. Quote was only $299 to install a dishwasher. Bill was over $ 900 . Horrible bait and switch company. NO STARS

Criminal level scam. Came out and told me it would $601 for a leak detection, regardless of how long it took. Spent 5 minutes looking outside and claimed the leak was under my sidewalk and wanted me to spend $2800 to patch the leak or $4500 to replace the entire pipe. The guy flat out told me he works on commission and so does the service team (I respect the honesty, but shows their motive). He leaves and I cant believe a leak is under the sidewalk. I dig up underneaths both sides of the sidewalk and theres no water, photos attached showing that it was dry as a bone (my meter said I was losing 1 gallon/minute). I called them back to tell them to come back and find the leak, they didnt return my call/voicemail. My guess is they claimed the leak was under the side walk to have an excuse to run up the price to have to cut concrete, etc. I called up Modern Plumbing, they came out for free and did a free consult with a master plumber who agreed the leak wasnt there. Couldnt have been happier with my experience with Modern plumbing. We then called out Active Leak Detection Solutions where Carlos was FANTASTIC and only charged me $350 and he located the leak in a different place. He dug use the ground and found found and pinpointed by hand where my leak was. Him and modern gave me some tips to fix the leak myself. I spent $30 at Lowes and in an hour fixed my leak myself. I tried to call and discuss this with Jay at the Winter Park office (customer service manager I think) and he wont return any of my calls. I tried to solve this with him directly before writing a review, but here we are. I will be disputing this with the Better Business Bureau and my credit card company. Whatever you do, do NOT use Roto Rooter. Everyone Ive told this story to has said the same thing. A family friend who used to work there said they pay for positive reviews which explains their phony 4.9 star rating and comments. Roto Rooter, you have my info so give me a call to make it right and I may take down the review and not report you to the BBB.

They fixed the leak but their pricing and then negotiating not just hundreds but also thousands of dollars was ridiculous and baffling! Price gouging at its worse ! How did a quote go from $6,000 to $3,000 then when consulted another company, it was only $300. Criminal? Unethical? However , I do appreciate them coming out on the weekend, and for that I gave them another star
