I hereby retract all prior posts I have made against attorney James D Gibson, Attorney Lauren Kohl and the Gibson Kohl PL law firm and that any issues I had with them have been resolved to my complete satisfaction.

Gibson, Kohl & Wolff P.L. was the closing agent on my home. Three months later, my loan has not been satisfied, the buyer has the deed to my house, and now, there are $15,000 in fees accrued from my lender. Turns out an entity JAXTOSRQ (WITH THE SAME ADDRESS AS THIS LAW FIRM) lent the buyer money for my home. I would stay far away from this company, unless you want a lot of headaches and to be left in the dark. Read on..... My home was in foreclosure, being auctioned off on, January 10, 2023. I was referred to the President of Sunstate Home Buyers, James 'Jim' E. Perrone, who said he was a cash buyer (signed a cash contract) and I he could prevent the foreclosure and I could walk away with several thousand dollars. Later Jim got a mortgage, from Sunstate Financial Resources (Sunstate Home Buyers) as their president. Their attorney, Gibson, Kohl & Wolff P.L. did not provide me a settlement statement until the day of closing, although I repeatedly asked for it. January 6, 2023: I had a closing at Gibson, Kohl, & Wolfe P.L., the buyer and the real estate agent weren't there. I was advised by their law firm to sign a Warranty Deed, trusting them, and ultimately giving them control of the funds. I did not receive any funds at closing that I was due. The law firm chose to pay the Manatee County Clerk of Court, but not my lender. I am still in foreclosure, the mortgage has not been satisfied, but the deed to the property is in Sunstate's possession. January 9, 2023: I received a group email from Lauren Kohl (Gibson, Kohl & Wolff P.L.) ‘The clerk of court has posted receipt of the funds. We are awaiting for them to cancel the sale.' March, 13, 2023: I spoke to Tiffany at Gibson, Kohl & Wolff P.L., and was told 'that there hasn’t been a release yet. They are still waiting to get a payoff amount.' March 22, 2023: My mortgage payoff amount of $228,000, has not been satisfied; and I have accrued over $15,000 in fees. Sunstate has listed the house for sale for $349,000.00 even though my loan has not been paid off. Also 'Jim' James Perrone has been sharing personal information about me and saying disparaging comments and tarnishing my reputation to many of my friends and neighbors. Which is not how he first represented himself as a religious person who was dealing with a illness in a close family member, and how he would help me to get out of this situation.
