Pep Boys

I've been a customer with Pep Boys since Vinny, was the Head of Departments. I love coming in and always been treated respectfully and guys working always exceed on the knowledge of the issue I bring my Jeep in. This time around I had an emergency flat on a brand new tire. Luis & Javier where the most absolute attentive gentlemen and came to my rescue. Although I had wanted to get my tire patched and not plugged they took the time to explain the reason a patch was not able to be done in my tire and they could save it by plugging it instead. Thank You guys, for taking your time to explain, to fix and make my day a little brighter :) with a smile.

This is the McDonalds of car repair places. Three hours of waiting to get a battery replaced under warranty, watched the techs looking at their phones for an hour with the hood open. Wouldnt be surprised if they were googling how to do it.

Made an appointment for oil change online and for whatever reason they couldnt honor that appointment when i arrived on time. I was asked if i could comeback tomorrow.. even though my appointment was for today . Complete waste of time

I did make appointment with lb macload location , when i went to my appointment for 120 point car inspection, the technician act like he dont know if they do this service and ask me to come later at lunch time mean after 3 hours , time have no value in this location

Updated April 2024. Shops response no longer reflects the review. Weve been dealing with this shop for a few years now, and initially, they were fine, and got the job done for small things (oil changes, etc) But once our car started having more complex issues, the real problems with PepBoys started to surface. We began getting recommendations for repairs that just werent needed. And probably close to $1500 in unnecessary services, and a LOT of time of our car being at the shop to have literally nothing done to it, we are done with PepBoys, and will be recommending to any friends to do the same. The final nail in the coffin was we came into PepBoys to get our battery changed (which was still under warranty), and was recommended to be changed by our current mechanic. They tried to say while our battery was bad, our alternator was also bad, and if they put a new battery in, they would void the warranty. Our car had literally been at our mechanics a week prior, and they said nothing about the alternator. We even called them after our visit to confirm, and they laughed when we told them. We told PepBoys that we didnt care, void the warranty, and put a new battery in. And after TWO HOURS of sitting at the shop, they told us they didnt have the battery in stock. We decided to not even bother, and get a battery from our new mechanic so we can officially be done with PepBoys.
