I have a disability and I came to this agency for help with employment and training. My first case worker (not naming any names), was very unprofessional. When we first met, he asked what my disability was, to which I replied Autism and ADHD. He rudely responded with a comment saying Well, you dont look like it to me. And then asked me why I had my mother with me at the time. The reason I had her with me that day was because 1. I dont drive, and 2. To ensure that nobody takes advantage of me. We changed counselors recently and it still hasnt gotten much better. The counselors always make excuses for their lack of professionalism, they drop their cases without notifying me, and Im glad I was able to find a job on my own and will no longer require their poor services. This is an agency set up to help people with disabilities find employment and they should be more professional and more educated in disability awareness.

They dropped my case without telling me. I got a new counselor and I could not communicate with him because he always seemed to not give me the right answers and I couldn't understand him clearly. I was never reimbursed for summer classes because he thought they were repeated classes (apparently all 4 of them), because I repeated my summer B courses in fall). They sent 2 letters to my old address and I never received them, even though I asked my old complex to send letters to my house. I received no phone call, no e-mails and was told by fin aid I had 900+ still due. Even after financial aid disbursed. I called VR and they told me they dropped my case and my counselor thought that I was taking all repeated classes in summer and they wouldn't pay for it. Whenever he told me about repeated classes I thought he understood I was repeating them this semester because I broke one hand and burnt the other and didn't feel like I could do weekly 3 hour posts for summer B classes (I passed my summer A). If you get a counselor named Jose ask for a new one, before I got him everything ran pretty smoothly.
