LP Design and Renovation

After taking several bids for remodeling 2.5 bathrooms + an addition of a wine bar adjacent to our kitchen in 2021, we chose LP Design as our contractor. We were impressed by Brittanee, Chad, and their subs for their attention to detail throughout the project. Any issues that arose during this intense project were addressed and rectified in a timely manner. If you're looking for quality and willing to pay a little more, believe me you'll be satisfied with the outcome. No more quotes on future projects. We have LP Design on speed dial.

Update: I just had to pay another $1,500 out of pocket for repairs to LP's shoddy work. Because the drain position in the shower was done poorly, water was pooling on the shower floor, which was eating away at the tiles and turning the white tiles yellow. Apparently, the drain was too high and the shower floor was uneven, not angled to the drain, so I had to pay for all the tile to be replaced and to even out the shower floor. During a routine inspection, the ceilings that LP had supposedly "fixed" were deemed unsafe and had to be redone properly. I am still furious that I was upcharged by LP for shoddy work and now have to keep paying to fix their poor quality. I implore you not to use this company or you will regret it. Update: after several months, LP addressed the three major issues at no additional cost. However, a couple months after that water started seeping in the house through the exterior concrete slab that LP had poured and the water was pooling inside on the floor. This was another expense that I had to cover due to LP's poor quality of work. I let LP know and they asked to see pictures, which I sent, and then they never responded. I cannot recommend this company. LP uses deceptive business practices, charges an arm and a leg, and does not guarantee their work. I received an initial comprehensive quote from LP for approximately $25K and they ended up tacking on more than 20% in additional "materials" charges even though the "Materials-Allowance" column on the estimate was completely blank. There was no fine print on the estimate saying that there could be additional charges, and I'm not talking about a few hundred dollars -- I was charged an unexpected $8,000 in additional fees. Moreover, when I checked the final invoice carefully, LP had included $2,500 in erroneous charges that were not related to my remodel. On top of all that, soon after they finished the renovation, the new tenant reported that neither the hot water heater nor the microwave was working. When the property management company contacted LP, they shirked responsibility and said it's not their problem. I also wrote to my contact there to inquire about these issues and they did not respond to me. There are numerous skilled construction companies in the Orlando area -- choose another one and do not use LP. If you do, be prepared for hidden costs, below-standard quality, and no willingness to fix their own problems. Service: Remodeling
