Sadly due to the pandemic, I haven't been able to volunteer as much as I have in the past, but thanks to Clean the World, I got to do good in the comfort of my own home. I was excited to learn that they now will send you a hygiene making kit that can be completed at home and shipped back to them at no cost to you. It was super easy and fun to do with my 6 year old niece. If you are looking for a safe volunteer opportunity, I would highly recommend checking out their website for more information!

A brand new facility for this charity and perfectly designed for what they do! When you walk in to volunteer you'll go through the 'soap history' walk and it's really neat! They cover soap making from it's conception to now and how they're using it to help out locally and abroad. This charity takes gently used soaps and other toiletries and recycles them. They work with hundreds of hotels to collect those little soaps and bottles that are hardly used. From there they recycle the plastic bottles, clean and sanitize the bar soaps and create hygiene kits. Some of the product is circulated back into the community to assist homeless or displaced persons. Other items are sent to third world countries to help combat disease. This facility is huge and has all the right set ups to quickly and efficiently abolish their accomplish. We have been doing volunteer events with them for years and look forward to many more in this new location! Overreach: A+ A wonderful new facility to accommodate this amazing charity!

UPDATE:Pictured is the event I organized here with the Nova Southeastern University Physician Assistant Program in a Orlando. Fifty seven PA Trainees took a few hours out of their very busy schedule to come help out at CTW. ---------- Original Review:I've been volunteering for Clean the World off and on for several years now, and it's a great organization. They take bath products from hotels around the country that would otherwise be thrown away after the guests have left and recycle them. Liquids and bottles are converted into hygiene kits, and soap bars are cleaned up, melted down, made a new bars, and shipped out to places without access to them. This, coupled with hand hygiene education, has saved millions of lives around the world since their inception. In addition, these products are getting used rather than going directly to a dumpster and landfill.This is also one of the few volunteering opportunities that are appropriate for younger kids.
