She was one of the most humane and caring Neurologists we have had for my daughter with severe developmental delays. Hopefully we can visit again soon. I dont want any other Neurologist working with her after Nitzmari.

She is very caring and knowledgeable. She took time to explain the diagnosis and procedure. I would recommend her to anyone.

My review is not going to the Dr. Melendez my review is going to the AdventHealth patients coordinator , Im looking for a good Neurologist since along time ago who really care about patients health dont only work for money, then when I found Dr. Melendez they says she cannot see my daughter because she is Neurology but Im looking for Neurology not other specialty. I think those ppl lie and they are giving me hard time to schedule an appointment, even my daughters PCP does not understand why the do not want to see my daughter with the referral they sent it. Im so frustrated and mad, someone contacted me from the staff but finally they ignored my complaint and review thats really shame and ridiculous, I will continue taking care my daughter by myself, she is 18 now so I wont have any problem, the system also is a mess and not reliable. As soon as I find any natural treatments for my daughter that I know exist, I will kick out those predators from my daughters life

I rescheduled my daughters appointment from January 6th to December 20th. Because we would be out of town in January. I had no problem rescheduling. I missed my appointment today due to my short term memory loss. The administrative team denied access to a clinical provider. I volunteered my medical history and apologized and ask for help. Myra posed as a licensed health care provider and refused reschedule the appointment for the first missed appointment for a new patient. This appoint was made in July 2023. I did not receive a text from the office. They did email me and I acknowledge the break down and misunderstanding and begged for help and asked for help. Maribel the practice manager said that they would contact my primary care provider to tell them I missed the appointment and Dr Melendez refused to see my daughter. We chose Dr Melendez because she sees pediatric and adult patients my daughter is 17 and this created an additional delay in care based on the front office staff. Ive never been treated so coldly by a provider. I ask to pay out of pocket for the missed appointment and to reschedule. She said when I missed the EEG they automatically cancel my January 15th appointment. Was denied access to a licensed healthcare provider to advocate for my daughter. I wouldnt wish this experience on anyone. I regret waiting this long to see a provider that would have a zero tolerance for new patient appointments. The administrative team said as a mother I should have done everything in my power to ensure my daughter be seen. I am a disabled pediatric cancer nurse and offered to preset medical documentation to reschedule my missed appointment. Mother to a mother it wasnt their concern. As a provider I think Dr Melendez should be aware of the lack of professionalism and compassion of her administrative staff. Their only recommendation was to find a different neurologist which means an additional 6months wait.
