Grand Hotel Orlando at Universal Blvd

They charged us a "guarantee" that would be returned when leaving the hotel, to this day they never returned it, we contacted the hotel and explained that it was not on the account but they did nothing. I would never go back there, scammers. Nearby activities: We scheduled the stay to be able to attend a park, but with the money not being returned I would never return.

We were at this hotel in March. We arrived around 11:30 pm and were greeted by a girl who only spoke English and didn't make any effort to understand. We paid the resort fee of $168.80, in addition to the $100 security deposit, even though I had already paid everything in advance. We argued, but it was no use. It was me, my wife and my daughter. I don't mind the security deposit, which is normal, but I do care about the resort fee. In short, we spent almost an hour at reception after an 8 hour flight. So far, they have not returned my deposit, more than 15 days have passed, and they said the deposit would be made within 7 days. The hotel has free access through several entrances, which is not safe. People were smoking marijuana in the hallways and stairwells. I will never return to this hotel again. It's terrible. When you arrive at the reception, the attendants are unwilling, and they still charge $90 dollars to use the facilities, I'm a tourist, I want to go for a walk and not stay in the hotel, the room is very dirty, the attendant said they would clean it when called by us, I don't recommend it nor for my enemy this hotel, I was very disappointed.

We recently just went to the Orlando grand hotel and Oh. MY. GOD. The lamps were covered in rust, so was the shower head and facets, there was mold all throughout the ceiling of the bathroom and the closet, there was no microwave in the room which is fine but the microwave available to use is in the breakfast area and there was spilled burnt food still in the microwave from two days prior. We have a two year old so of course we check the floors and try to keep him off of them as much as possible but we walked on those floors barefoot for not even 2 minutes and our feet were black and covered in random stuff it was disgusting. We stripped the beds for the janitorial staff and there were roaches in the bed, the comforter was falling apart and molding at the bottom seams, the pillows and towels were permanently stained with very questionable substances and the sheets had rust marks on the bottom and under where the pillows sat. We had to be let into our room as we had left our room key in there by accident and were given rude comments by staff as well as short temper, and the house keeping opened our room to replace towels and left our room door open for up to 8 hours as we returned from Universal at 10 pm and the door was open. We had lost two articles of clothing which house keeping said they turned in and the front desk said they had it but after talking to the manager about the issues, they magically no longer had our personal items, and since it's not a corporate hotel the only person you can bring up the issues to is the same manager who was 4 hours late to work, was extremely rude, and then was neglectful of staff behaviors. Our oldest is allergic to mold and has been horribly horse and in pain after the first night in the hotel.
