Litter Mates is a ‘first-of-its-kind’, family-owned and operated business serving the greater Orlando area. We provide a hassle-free way to eliminate the unpleasant and unavoidable task of deep-cleaning litter boxes and scoopers. 

To accomplish this, each client is assigned their own personal Litter Mate. For a traditional litter box user, we will deliver two new litter boxes and two metal scoopers. One box and scooper will replace the equipment currently being used, while the second box and scooper is held in reserve to be used for swapping out with the dirty, used equipment on their day of service. When their service day arrives, the client will secure the dirty equipment resulting from the swap in the provided bag and leave it outside in a pre-arranged location before 9 AM. During the day, their Litter Mate will come by and pick up the bagged dirty equipment and leave a bagged, cleaned, and sanitized set in its place to be used for the next swap. The dirty equipment that is picked up is then taken to our facility to be cleaned and sanitized before being returned to the client on the next day of service.

Automatic litter boxes, or self-cleaning ‘Robot’ boxes, are also deep cleaned and sanitized in a similar fashion. To enable this service, Litter Mates will purchase a new globe, waste drawer, and charcoal filter for the unit and then swap them out personally on the day of service. This allows us to take the dirty globe and waste drawer to our facility for a thorough, deep cleaning and sanitization. While on-site, we clean the bonnet and base in our branded service van using the cleaning products specifically designed by their manufacturer for cleaning Robots. This is a THOROUGH cleaning, far beyond the vacuum and wipe-down most Robot owners are mistakenly led to believe is sufficient. All waste is taken away for proper disposal and the litter can be saved and returned to the clean globe immediately since the globe is already dry when it arrives on-site. We also clean floor mats (if present) as well as the area surrounding the unit in the home.

Every aspect of Litter Mates was designed with customer service in mind. Our prices are simple and spelled out clearly on our website, along with detailed service descriptions and FAQs that address everything from referral bonuses to billing processes. Our schedules are flexible, allowing clients to select from weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedules for traditional boxes and monthly or bi-monthly for automatic boxes. Most, if not all of the deep cleaning and sanitization are performed at our off-site facility, minimally impacting our customer’s daily routines. In fact, if we are cleaning a traditional box, they don’t even need to be home for service. Litter Mates also will take the dirty litter when we pick up their dirty equipment if desired. If a customer faces special challenges, and needs a more personalized approach, then we accommodate with a customized service plan.

Litter Mates is committed to customer satisfaction, and it’s evident in our attention to detail. When it comes to sanitizing our customer's equipment, we opted to use the best product vs the cheapest. That is why REScue Disinfectant Cleaner & Deodorizer for Veterinary Use is the final step in our Deep Cleaning process. We selected REScue because it is an EPA-registered fungicidal, bactericidal, and virucidal capable of killing a broad spectrum of animal health-specific pathogens. It is veterinarian-endorsed, fragrance-free, and does not contain bleach or alcohol. We also wanted our customers to have the peace of mind that the cleaned equipment their Litter Mate returns to them will ALWAYS be their own. We achieve this by writing their unique customer code in permanent marker discreetly on their equipment for easy identification. It is also our practice to send a “Reminder of Service” text to our clients the night before their service as well as a text once their clean equipment has been dropped off at their door for our traditional litter box clients.

At the end of the day, it’s all about improving lives and making cat ownership as easy and enjoyable as possible while providing kitties the litter box experience they deserve. That was our goal when Litter Mates was created and remains our goal moving forward.
