Turned use away because of my service dog, government certified service dog and got turned away. Never got my cane out and city paperwork , sad

My family and I had a bad experience this past Saturday at this restaurant. We planned to have lunch for a birthday and since we were a large group (9) we called the day before to make a reservation. When we called we were told we did not need a reservation, they would accommodate us when we got there. When we got there on Saturday around 2pm we went inside and sat at the largest table which seats 8. The restaurant had less then half of the tables occupied. We were 9 so we asked a couple sitting at a table that seats 6 if we could have a chair. They said of course and we pulled it over to our table. A waiter comes rushing to us and lets us know we cannot do that. We let her know we needed an extra chair and she said we needed to ask our waiter if we could do that. So we asked the waiter and she said no because we are taking a chair away from another waiter. The manager comes out and says we cannot have an extra chair for the extra person. Meanwhile there are like 4 tables that seat 6 people with only 2 people in each, and half the restaurant is empty. They offered to sit us outside in the hot sun with no shade and we declined. We let them know we would leave because we did not want to sit outside. They were okay with losing our business for an extra chair. There were like 20 extra high chairs.

Extremely bad customer service. They will not accommodate large groups.
