Read some reviews before going. One described it as Peaceful and I would agree . Trails starts off as packed limestone then turns to grass. A little bit of sugar sand to deal with but not enough to make it a bad hike. Wildlife - deer , woodpeckers, and a titmouse. Restrooms: No bathroom

I have seen no bears or coyotes. I must say it behooves me that this savage place has been civilized. I was hoping to encounter an a band of savages or the bleached bones of settler's scalped by said savages. My wife does not like being out after dark, mostly because she is black & is prone to bouts of mysticism, or fears of ghouls. We left before the sun god disappeared below the horizon.

Great trail. There were fresh prints from deer all over. We didn't see any but I also had my dogs with me. This is a very well maintained trail. It's lime rock to start and then turned into a grassy trail for most of it. If you follow the red marks you will make a loop. I heard gunshots in the distance. I don't think they were hunters but I think there is either a person with a home range or possibly a public range that wasn't very busy nearby. No worries though, there was still plenty of evidence of deer. There are no porta johns at this location.
