DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse

We visited this DSW store on a weekday in spring 2024. The store seemed mostly clean. But could have used some sprucing up in areas. Mostly caused by customers who can't be troubled to pick up after themselves. Right off the bat, my observation that this store has terrible signage to direct customers where things are. So for the most part, you need to wander around the store until you find the shoes that may fit your desire and or gender. Then you can scan for what you may be interested in. The isles are somewhat narrow considering they have the benches for trying on shoes in the middle of the isles. So when folks are trying on shoes, it's fairly difficult to navigate around them. Sometimes it's easier to walk around from another isle and come in from the opposite side. They do have to little nylon socks for trying on shoes if you do not have socks on. But they are sized more for tiny feet. As such, larger man size feet do not fit. The prices were not bad on some items. Not so great on others. But this is just my opinion on the items we were looking at. Your opinion may differ. So take my comment with a grain of salt. And we found them fair enough to purchase shoes. So they could not be all that bad. Then comes the biggest complaint. We decided to purchase multiple pairs of shoes. But this DSW will not give you a bag. They say they are bagless. As such, they force you to carry out a stack in your hands, rather than some boxes in a bag. Honestly, I probably would not have purchased shoes knowing we would have to lug them out in a pile. I didn't need the shoes. I just happened to impulse buy while accompanying the wife.
