Ocala Downtown Diner

Love this place. My wife is vegan and Im not so its difficult to find a place we can both eat and enjoy. Ocala diner does it right! They have a full vegan and full normy menu! Vegetarian options: They have both a full vegan menu and a full normy menu that is amazing.

My review is not so much the food but more the treatment. I ordered an omelette as I was eating I found a short hair witch I didnt make a big deal could have came from anywhere, I called the waitress to remove the plate and told her why again not a huge deal I just didnt want to eat after that. She didnt return to the table so we called her over to make sure she wasnt bringing anything back just because I didnt want to eat at that point, and she proceeded to say that she took it off the bill but that there was no one in her kitchen with short black hair smh Her attitude towards the situation was more like it wasnt in my kitchen which again I wasnt blaming anyone the hair could have been from anywhere. No one there wears hairnets and there was plenty of waitresses with black hair but thats the least of the problem. The problem was the way we were treated and the way that she handled the situation in NO moment we asked to be taken out of the check or to get anything free, we wouldve paid for it regardless, no apologies just plain rude.

Loved this place. They had a full menu of vegan options, which I really appreciated (used to being served a head of iceberg lettuce most places). The food was great, the staff was so sweet, and the diner had that classic small town diner vibe that felt very cozy. Thank you!!!
