The meeting I had with Mr. Bennett about the survey of the lot. Mr. Bennett lead off by saying the vegetation is too dense. I just agreed because Mr. Bennett is the professional and I’m not. If I would have known those words would cost me money, of course I wouldn’t have agreed.Mr. Bennett called me to arrange a meeting in person to discuss the price increases due to inflation. We talked about all the products that had a price increase due to inflation. Mr. Bennett never talked about needing extra dirt. When I was informed of the increase in cost. I never thought half was due to extra dirt being needed. This was never discussed in our meetings. The only thing that was discussed was prices going up due to inflation. If Mr. Bennett did discuss this with me I would have fired him. Due to miscalculations of how much dirt was actually needed in the loan. The only thing I heard from Mr. Bennett is we need more dirt.Mr. Celebre retired before this meeting ever occurred. My Union Officer is Ms. Zeleznik. Also I do not have a 401k. As discussed with Mr. Bennett, I have a TSP (Thrift Savings Plan). Since I retired from the Army, I cannot pull multiple withdrawals from my TSP. I informed Mr. Bennett of all this.This is supposed to be a custom home. I did not get to choose the foundation or the type of septic tank. Mr. Bennett somehow lost paperwork on the quartz, sink, counter top in the laundry room and cabinets that we picked out. I had to downgrade due to Bennett Home Construction’s negligence. I went back to choose granite instead.Mr. Bennett called me inquiring about a dog wash. I was surprised because we had many discussions of this. Mr Bennett even mentioned to make the dog wash a little higher. Mr. Bennett was refuting that there was no talk of a dog wash. I had to state are you calling me a liar. This is when Mr. Bennett looked up the paperwork and there was fixtures for a dog wash. Mind you that I am the customer. Mr. Bennett never stated he was sorry. He fixed the problem though our business relationship was far from being a happy customer.Once I saw the cabinets weren’t the right ones I called my wife. I went to the office of Mr. Bennett and talked with Sandee. She stated the cabinets were the right ones. I showed her pictures we had of the cabinets and quartz countertop we picked out. Sandee then called the cabinet people. The cabinet people told me to come to their office to discuss the situation with the cabinets. I went and we came to an agreement. This whole time I feel like I’m being hoodwinked. Something was off. At the end of the day I call Sandee to voice all my complaints. She listens and doesn’t say anything.Then Mr. Bennett calls me and ask me what is going on. My main concern was never heard. Mr. Bennett only let me get in a few words before he raised his voice saying he is going to put a stop to this right now. I asked Mr. Bennett stop what? The argument only got worse from there. I never threatened Mr. Bennett. My wife can attest to this because she was three feet away and listening. I never called Earl’s Well Drilling. I don’t know what Mr. Bennett is talking about.I’m supposed to be the customer. I really don’t feel like this is a business relationship at all!Update: Bennett sent me a change order that didn’t reflect my payment and I asked them to change it to reflect accurately. Bennett told me it’s just a change order and not a statement. What kind of business are they running here?Update: I requested Bennett to refund my driveway. Bennett wants me to sign the change order in order for me to receive credit. Bennett construction’s internal communications is trash. They don’t communicate with each other. Also Mr. Bennett mentioned to me that he wasn’t a racist. I’ve served in the military for 20 years and never encountered this. Come to find out another customer wrote a review about this. It makes me wonder.
