It has been almost a year since our 40' x 80' building was constructed in our yard. From start to finish, the team was professional, efficient and delivered beyond expectation. I originally contact Florida Metal Building Services, by email, about my need for a steel building for my Barndominium home project. It took quite a while to get a response. At first (owners name removed under threat of litigation) seemed eager and helpful and he apologized for the delay. His response was on 4/17/20 and I responded with more info and questions the same day but did not hear back until I initiated contact again on 6/9/20. We corresponded 4-5 times that day which ended in me sending him my land surveys, aerial photos, rough floor plan ideas and a list of desired features for my proposed project. I never heard back. I emailed again on 6/22/20 for an update and never received a response. I then called their office on 6/30/20 to try to find out why I was being ignored. I was told (owners name removed under threat of litigation) was in a meeting. I explained the situation to the lady on the phone including that if they were not interested in my project to kindly let me know and I would find another builder. I was assured I would receive a call back, which did not happen. Now, another week later, still no response. I called again, they sounded as if they had never heard of me before and I gave up. Terrible communication, dismal service. I will be finding another builder to give my money to. Considering the $20-$23/sq. Ft. I was quoted for building and foundation not including site work, my project was starting at $74,000. Maybe my project is too small? Maybe they have all the work they need? Either way its clear that my business in not desired. *****EDIT***** I was finally contacted today, 8/24/2020 at 10:29am by the owner, and threatened to be sued for libel for using his name in my review. I have edited the review to redact the owners name. The owner, nor any representative of the company, ever responded further to my actual business matters. Only once the owner saw my review did he respond to threaten litigation.
