We've stayed at Oakland Manor House numerous times. Its proximity to Orlando is nice and has the ability to feel like you're at home. The home is a historic mansion and has an awesome history that the owner purposely kept intact so that those who visit and stay understand the history of this mansion. There are 2 separate kitchens and housekeeping kept me & my family stocked on the essentials. We walked to the dock every night. It's a little piece of FL that has remained the same. For those that want frills and commercial-style lodging with an ice machine, stay in town but if you want a genuine, history laden location with true charm--stay here!

Response to the fake name that described The Oakland Manor as an ant invested, walls seeping, damage to property lady.. you are violating the true rights of people to leave a legitimate review about a place . You are not who you say you are and you are only trying to degrade an honest business only to gain some sort of notoriety or compensation for your own personal losses in your own life Please do not bring fake comments into an honest review area, you are insulting ALL of us who need a truth worthy commentary . Beautiful historic home. Stayed at this home with a crew of engineers from May through July of 22. Never saw any ants as described in other review but we took the trash out and the house clean so perhaps that is why. Location in great, home is very nice. Would definitely come back.
